  1. Add Nationals to the list of teams that are out
  2. Cardinals and Rays too. Very nice couple of minutes
  3. Not sure if he’s reporting this or speculating
  4. It’s more likely than a FG block or miss from 23 yards out or a kickoff return for TD. not at all. the chance one of their guys false starts, misses a block or flat out dies on the snap allowing the Bears to crash Gould (like 2%) was far more probable then Fox/Loggains getting their horsefeathers together for less then two minutes (like 0%). Well he’s 93-94 for his career on FGs inside 30 yards so you are already wrong with regards to probabilities
  5. Explain why you wouldn’t let them score in this situation: Let them score: Get ball back down 5 with 1:40 left Don’t let them score: They score anyways 99% of the time and you have to return a kickoff for a TD to win it. explain to me how we got there in the first [expletive] place. You really think Fox and Co could competently put together a 2 min offense to score a TD? It’s more likely than a FG block or miss from 23 yards out or a kickoff return for TD.
  6. ”Wait really? Did we emphasize how vaunted we are?”
  7. So far the following teams are officially out per Twitter reports: Yankees Red Sox Blue Jays Twins Mets Athletics Pirates Brewers Diamondbacks White Sox Cardinals Rays The following teams are definitely still in: Mariners Giants Then you have the Padres, Dodgers and Angels all on the preferred WC. Not officially still in but very likely
  8. Explain why you wouldn’t let them score in this situation: Let them score: Get ball back down 5 with 1:40 left Don’t let them score: They score anyways 99% of the time and you have to return a kickoff for a TD to win it.
  9. Heck could they make a late play for Stanton if they got Ohtani? Not sure what sort of payroll they can afford
  10. Hmm ok this sounds promising If true were still alive!
  11. You have to remember this is a New Yorker being quoted. To people in NYC, everything west of New Jersey is basically the west coast and any city that’s not New York is a small market. We got this.
  12. Sounds pretty likely the Cubs are not getting him
  13. Mariners don’t surprise me at all, Giants slightly
  14. Jesus Christ. How difficult is it to understand that there is maybe a 1-2% chance of a block from a kick inside 25 yards and maybe 0.5% chance of a kickoff returned for a TD. compare that to the odds of Trubisky leading the 2 minute offense to a TD In reality he knows that but his super conservative to a fault mindset ingrained over 30 yards of coaching just can’t accept voluntarily giving up the lead to give himself a better chance to win. Or I should say “a chance”
  15. lol here's this guy again this is that weirdo that does nothing but complain on bears, bulls, and cubs twitter right? with the "This is fine" av? They have to be. I’m reading that twitter feed and the complaints are remarkably similar
  16. Haha Bears gonna lose at home to a 1-10 team on a Robbie Gould FG. The Bears playcalling is still unbelievably bad but the Bears offense just sucks. Really not any sustained drives all game since the lone score came on a short field after a TO. Meanwhile the 49ers will have 5 scoring drives, I believe 4 of them on 12+ play drives. Give defense credit for limiting them to FGs but overall piss poor performance by everyone
  17. Yep if you run backwards it hurts you 9 times out of 10 and the other time that happens
  18. Quarterbacking is easy when you have all the time in the world to throw
  19. Yeah the best part is their best argument is exactly the opposite of what they were arguing last year. That said I think Ohio State has a better resume even w 2 losses. Oh well I’m certainly not complaining!
  20. Well the Hawks just placed Crawford on IR. Will be interesting to see the severity of the injury. But considering how much he's been doing to keep the Hawks afloat, this was not a good time for an injury.
  21. Happy birthday Javy
  22. And then pretend we never won the world series "You saw Ben Zobrist do what in the video? No...no that is a fake video you saw, it never happened. Have you seen Zobrist hit lately?"
  23. I haven't watched a ton but when I do it looks like they are mostly using him as a spot up shooter. They need to make him and Dunn the focal point of the offense rather than watching Holiday jack up 25 shots per game. Yes tanking blah blah blah, but I don't want to finish 10-72, I don't think its good for the culture of the team and the perception to FAs for a potential quicker rebuild. You suck too badly for too long and you are now a big market version of the Kings. Didn't really affect the Sixers all that much when they were finishing with records like that and then landing Embiid and Simmons. Yes, if they land talents like Embiid and Simmons. They are the exception and benefited from lotto luck and other luck (Embiid dropping because of injury). They have made 17 draft picks in 4 years, 7 in the 1st round and 4 in the top 3. The Bulls currently don't have any 1st round picks other than their own (I think) and I'm not sure I trust GarPax to make those types of moves to get into position to make that many picks. I'm not saying that being that bad dooms them, but we've seen more than a few teams strip it down and start over only to spend years developing a winning culture around the talent they pick up in the draft.
  24. OTOH that's 6 straight games of Lauri shooting no better than 41% on 14 FGA/G Hope he finds his stroke again I haven't watched a ton but when I do it looks like they are mostly using him as a spot up shooter. They need to make him and Dunn the focal point of the offense rather than watching Holiday jack up 25 shots per game. Yes tanking blah blah blah, but I don't want to finish 10-72, I don't think its good for the culture of the team and the perception to FAs for a potential quicker rebuild. 25. Is there even a Group of Death in this draw?
