  1. Big time. So many QBs can get lead their teams between the 20s but when the field gets shorter the best QBs can find tight windows and go throw progressions to get into the end zone
  2. Wims is active today. Will be interesting to see his snap count vs White’s
  3. I’d rather face Colorado in the NLDS than LAD but you have to make it to the NLDS first so I’m rooting for the tie
  4. Don’t forget with that September 20th off day it came after a late night game in Arizona and the first game after the off day was a Day game - pretty much the shortest break you can possibly have with an off day.
  5. Say what you want about the two teams (and I certainly have) but 3 straight years of great games between OSU-PSU. 1 OSU collapse and 2 PSU collapses
  6. FUN WITH ARBITRARY ENDPOINTS! Yeah, that 7-game win streak sure helps a lot when looking at it that way. Here are some more endpoints! Between August 1st and August 21st they went 10-8. And then, obviously, only 16-14 from August 29th until today. It’s arbitrary but add a day onto it and it’s the exact length of the death march which I think there is some value to look at as a whole. Especially because the Brewers have had like 17 off days in that stretch
  7. Since August 22nd, the Cubs have played at a 98 win pace (23-14) with just 1 off day. The problem is the sham overrated vaunted Brewers have played at a 113 win pace over the same time frame (23-10) The Cubs are good and have played good, the Brewers have just played considerably better with more rest Edit: lol just read 17 seconds post right before mine
  8. It’s probably worse that the Cardinals are eliminated. Any pressing that they might have been doing will be completely lifted. And Flaherty will throw like 120 pitches
  9. At this point I’m just hoping Detroit keeps it close again tomorrow so Milwaukee uses Hader and Jeffress again. I feel Like the tigers played their winnable games already and tomorrow will be a bloodbath
  10. Gotta hand it to the Brewers. Season on the line and they go 6-0 to even up the division. Sure Cubs could have played better but if they weren’t literally unbeatable this week the division is over
  11. And the Vaunted Brewers who I was told repeatedly would fade this year, have played even with the Cubs through 161 games
  12. Or the Cardinals runner doesn’t trip or the Tigers OF doesn’t push a fly out over the wall. This whole week has been an exercise in fluke luck deciding a division
  13. Of course inches from a 3 run lead. horsefeathers the baseball gods
  14. Yelich is so damn good. He seems to get big hits every night. Props to him for almost singlehandedly keeping his team in the division race
  15. After calming down, it’s not ideal but all 3 outcomes after tomorrow have their advantages. Obviously the best scenario is to win the Central outright. If we tie, we have 2 chances to win ourselves into the NLDS. If we lose, obviously the least ideal but at least we get a day off before the WC Game
  16. Who would have expected Cubs v Dodgers part 3 to be in the Wild Card game
  17. Dammit Theo why don’t you have a crystal ball
  18. Lol if this week plays out with max games the Cubs will be at 44 games in 46 days. That’s cruel
  19. At least the Cubs wouldn’t have to travel Monday or Tuesday
  20. Guessing potential pitching matchups this week: Monday - Chacin vs Quintana Tuesday if nec - Hill vs Lester Thursday - Miley vs Hendricks Friday - Gonzalez vs Hamels Sunday - Anderson vs Quintana/Lester Obviously if the Cubs don’t have to play Tuesday this will change for Cubs
  21. On the bright side the Cubs are used to playing every day and I’m guessing the Brewers will be gassed having to play 4 whole days in a row
  22. Duke you are running out of bullets
