  1. The path to the SB is thru both LA and NO, both likely on the road. This is true but we’ve played 9 games this year and in my book have yet to look like an inferior team in any of them. Yes the schedule has been light and yes maybe the Pats outplayed us but it’s hard for me to say the Bears would definitely lose at LA or NO until I see a team clearly outplay the Bears. And heck 70 degree LA temps with a Stadium 60% full of Bears fans isn’t the worst road environment to play in. The Superdome always terrifies me though.
  2. Maybe I’m too high on the wins over all the lowly teams but serious question: why can’t we win the Super Bowl this year? We have issues but, if Mitch plays closer to this week than he has in other weeks, none of them are enough to dismiss their ability to win. Maybe I will get a reality check next week or especially against the Rams but for the first time I’m not immediately dismissing the notion that we can win a title
  3. According to whatever I read on twitter, he does not practice at soldier field during the week because he doesn’t like the commute or something
  4. I’ve been cleaning my house while watching and I thought for a second it was a replay of the last kick because it looked identical
  5. Wow. Maybe he should aim not for the upright
  6. Who are we bringing in for kicker tryouts tomorrow
  7. I swear a kicker has never missed a kick against the Bears in my lifetime
  8. I guarantee you if I go to jamfans twitter page he’s said nothing about Mitch but is saying Pace should be fired for signing Parkey to a big FA deal
  9. Bears 2nd and 10 from fringe FG range, why do they call a pick play that involves Cohen catching it 3-4 yards behind the line of scrimmage. I like getting Cohen the ball with a lane to run but that type of play has a higher probability of losing yards in an area you really don’t want to lose any yards. Oh and TB Trubisky is back
  10. Yeah but it would definitely take away Michigan’s potential spot. Alabama has played so damn dominantly that it would be hard to see them dropping completely out with a neutral loss to a 1 loss team.
  11. Be interesting to see how the committee looks at Big Ten if a 1 loss OSU or Michigan beats NW while a 1 loss Oklahoma is beating West Virginia for the second week in a row. Right now basically 4 of these 6 are going the make the playoff: -Alabama -Georgia -OU/WVU 2x winner -OSU/UM winner -Clemson -Notre Dame Outside shot of Washington State or UCF
  12. Blackhawks might be one of the worst 2 teams in the NHL. Second to last in both points per game and goal differential. It’s crazy how fast it got so bad
  13. I’ve never seen a punter have such an affect on a game as this OSU-MSU game. In a 1 score game, the punt team forced MSU to start 5 straight drives inside the 6 yard line. MSU took a safety to try to change field position and then OSUs punter pinned them at the 2 again. Next play a fumble in the end zone for an OSU TD. Crazy
  14. They are a decent core but they need that true superstar to excite me. LaVine is a great scorer but I don’t see him as a “makes his teammates better” kind of Star. Carter and Lauri have star potential but I think their ceiling is short of superstar. I think the best hope for the Bulls is to have a good and exciting enough team where it’s obvious a superstar would make us a contender leading to a superstar trying to force a trade here.
  15. Strangely enough Jason Heyward was at the game last night as well according to Instagram (source: Twitter)
  16. Sports Mockery got a cap of it: [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. Edit: Tweet must have been deleted because its not showing up anymore. It was a photo of the banner at the United Center showing the Sox logo and "Bryce Harper" and apparently the Jordan statue was wearing a Bryce Harper White Sox jersey

  19. Really weird to leave a coach dangling in the wind like that. I almost wonder if Hickey is having health issues or something and is voluntarily leaving but the Cubs want to find a successor before announcing
  20. I almost feel like the FO wants to go in a different direction with the manager but don't want to fire the coach who won the franchises first championship in 108 years.
  21. it sucks that he missed that kick in Miami but i don't really see how Parkey has been a big problem he's 13/16... 5/7 from 40-49 and 1/2 from 50+ (28/28 on xp also) I just dont see him as the future. Love to be wrong I mean yes you'd like to have a solid stable kicker like we had with Gould for the previous decade but among concerns for the Bears, having a kicker of the future is pretty low.
  22. What does that say about the front office getting rid of pitching and hitting coaches with no major issues (other than the Bosio racism that we didn't know about at the time, maybe Theo and Jed did) and then firing their handpicked replacements after 1 season? Not criticizing the FO in general, just always thought letting both of them go in one offseason was an odd move even if they identified 2 people they liked more.
  23. Yeah I'm pretty down on the Bulls but I would still put them over the Sox at this point. Pros for Sox: - A lot of talent in the minors even though its maybe not all developing as well as they've hoped and some setbacks - A lot of room for their payroll to go up - The Indians are really the only team in the Central that is really set up to be a threat over the next couple of seasons (maaybe the Twins) and their window might be closing so you could see a best case scenario 85 win White Sox team take the AL Central Cons for Sox: - Simply a lot harder to make the playoffs in baseball in general, but especially in the AL as currently structured, than it is in the crappy as NBA Eastern Conference - Attendance will always hurt their payroll ceiling
  24. Sucks, I know some people wanted him
