  1. What the actual horsefeathers?
  2. Not quite Bears win + Eagles lose = Vikings Bears win + Eagles win = Eagles Vikings win + Seahawks win = Vikings Vikings win + Seahawks lose = Seahawks
  3. There’s also roughly a 96% chance (95.3% to be exact) that a non-bye team makes it to the Super Bowl. 6 teams out of 128 have done it since 2002. Such a dramatic difference in odds it’s worth trying to me.
  4. Tonight is an argument for a smaller playoff if anything
  5. Well Purdue, that's certainly one way to show your coach that you are happy he stayed
  6. Is 200 attempts what the league uses as the threshold for rate based records? Not sure it just sounded like a nice even number, but McCown only started 5 games that year (and played 8 games total) so I hesitate to consider him the legit leader there which is why I included Mitch
  7. Seems like there are a couple but not the counting number records Passing Yards Current: Erik Kramer - 3,838 Mitch: 3,060 Needs: 778 yards Mitch projected over 16 games: 3,766 Passing TDs Current: Kramer - 29 Mitch: 24 Needs: 5 Mitch projected over 16 games: 30 Passing Attempts Current: Jay Cutler - 561 Mitch: 408 Needs: 153 Mitch over 16 games: 502 Passing Completions Current: Cutler - 370 Mitch: 271 Needs: 99 Mitch over 16 games: 334 Yards Per Attempt Current: Sid Luckman - 10.8 Mitch: 7.8 300 yard passing games Mitch is tied for most with 4 Completion Percentage (minimum 200 attempts) Current: Brian Hoyer (really) - 67% Mitch: 66.4% Someone else will have to do the math and what he needs to pass QB Rating (minimum 200 attempts) Current: Josh McCown - 109.0 Current with more than 225 attempts: Mitch Trubisky 96.0
  8. I have a hard time accepting the Rose nostalgia. I guess I just can't see past the situation with his accused rape and every time I think of him that comes to mind. From a pure basketball sense, it is nice to see though.
  9. [tweet] [/tweet] Sure it’s just another troll job
  10. Not as much as he needs to not get hurt by the same team that hurt him earlier this year, in a game that likely means nothing for either team. Oh and Mitch just broke a team record for completion percentage in a game today, with a YPA of nearly 10. It’s guaranteed to mean something for Minnesota, at least at kickoff And for the Bears they will still be alive for the bye at kickoff
  11. Bears road performances this season leave a lot to be desired. I expect a team to look worse on the road but seems like the bears had a very weak road schedule and haven’t played one very good game yet save the defense against Buffalo
  12. Can’t wait til Parkey misses a big kick in the playoffs
  13. Really wish the Panthers could have finished off the Saints last week. Yesterday’s results put the Steelers in a position of desperation tomorrow (at NO). They will probably pull out all the stops to win because losing makes it pretty unlikely that they make the playoffs
  14. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/idelined-budget-cubs-reds-cards-add-dodgers-bryce-harper/ Was just coming to post that. Good stuff. The market is starting to slim if the Dodgers are really more focused on guys like Kluber. There were indications that Harper wasn’t really interested in Philly and the Phillies were more focused on Machado. The White Sox could outbid us but if the offers are close I think we know where he’d prefer to sign. Yankees are also a threat even though they have repeatedly said they weren’t in on him. The field would include teams like the Angels I guess but overall it really seems like we’ve gotten just enough info leaked from the Cubs side to know that they want to get him, and based on how things are playing out, he’s there for the taking. So like let’s get him
  15. He was sober at deadspin awards. Got drunk after and sang karaoke. Passed out and choked on his own blood. They cut open his neck and he woke up a week later. jesus. but where did the blood come from to begin with? and why did they have to cut open his neck? He didn’t say
  16. I’m guessing if the Reds were gonna take on 20+ mil in salary they were going to insist on dumping baileys contract. LAD still save over $20m and Cincinnati turns $25 million worth of worthless player in $45 million of players that actually have worth. Dodgers accepted the trade because it was their best opportunity to clear up significant payroll even if it meant taking a worthless high salary player back and immediately cutting them. Though I guess they could have at least brought him into camp and see if their coaches could do anything with him.
  17. Damn why did he delete that? He must have been hopped up on painkillers and then decided he didnt want that out there after he sobered up.
  18. Jeff Passan is saying that this move alone won't clear up enough space to sign Harper and stay under the tax, but it certainly makes it a lot easier to swing a trade to clear the remaining. Hypothetically they could use this space on multiple other free agents rather than just Harper but its hard for me to see a team making a move like this if they weren't trying to get a generational talent. Edit: Also their OFs are something like Enrique Hernandez, Joc Pederson, Andrew Toles and Chris Taylor. They will be almost assuredly acquiring another OF.
  19. Cubs offseason summerized: -We're broke -No Really we're broke -Soooooo broke -Cardinals trade for Goldschmidt -Cubs get a MI -Cubs cut a MI -We can't even afford middle relievers -WE GOT DESCALSO -Addison Russell is even more terrible than we thought -So are the Ricketts -Who are still broke -Addison Russell is even MORE terrible -Cardinals get Miller -Reds get Puig and others -Dodgers get Harper probably
  20. Yeah, I held out strong hope that the Cubs were playing it close to the vest, and maybe they were, but I can't see how LA doesn't get him at this point.
