  1. Plus depending on how you feel about PFF (and not just his grades, but big time throw%, turnover worthy play%, etc.) he made considerable improvement as the season went on
  2. Or 4 months?
  3. The speculation I’ve seen is out 2-4 weeks. The Bulls seem to have major injury issues every season and it’s so frustrating
  4. You lost me when you said you watched 0 Bears this year. Also looking at his numbers I don’t see that his junior season is that different from his sophomore year with the notable exception of his INT rate. But even taking that into account his numbers are very similar across the board.
  5. I guess you could call him a sunk cost but you spent several picks to draft him and he’s on a dirt cheap rookie contract. He has the intangibles and showed enough flashes to keep developing him (aka he wasn’t Haskins out there). It would be monumentally stupid to trade him IMO unless you can acquire someone with his ceiling who isn’t battling 2 dozen sexual assault allegations.
  6. Grain of salt warning Interesting nugget from a “source” claiming that some of the people they’ve brought in haven’t been overly high on Fields. Would be so Bears to draft what turns out to be the franchise QB they’ve been waiting for only to trade him before he becomes that guy. I’m not saying that’s going to happen though.
  7. It makes sense if he didn't have much control in MIA that he would want that now, and of course he wants a great QB, everyone does, but he's going to have to develop one, and he came from the other side of the ball in NE. I don't know. I don't want to pre-judge him but after starting 1-7 in his 3rd year, AGAIN after doing the same in his first year? I don't think it's all that shocking for a team to move on from that. Keeping in mind, that 1-7 start featured losses to JAX and ATL in back-to-back weeks. I don't know, you know how much George values coaches that can keep the team together after long losing streaks
  8. this scares me. was it Watson who wanted to hitch his ride to Flores or was it mutual? I dont want another HC who wants nothing to to with our young, in-house QB I mentioned that a couple of pages ago. I don't think George wants any part of that PR hit, though it still concerns that me he wasn't 100% effusive on his commitment to fields in his press conference. I probably shouldn't think too much of it though...
  9. Also I didnt see this posted, but this may be the reason the Bears would be accelerating the process as the Giants are also high on Flores
  10. I haven't seen much discussion about Hackett other than that the Bears have requested an interview with him. What are the general thoughts on him? Too green/hard to differentiate his success with LaFleur's?
  11. So far the Bulls have been outscored by an average of 31.3 points in their 3 ESPN games this year, and probably no Lonzo or Lavine so I think that's a poor bet.
  12. Elliott is a UM Alum
  13. That dude deserves a medal for keeping the Raiders afloat this year, much less the full time HC position.
  14. Yikes
  15. It was just strange. Josh Allen was even less accurate than Lamar in college and Pollian compared him to a young Jim Kelly/Peyton Manning. This was after his rookie year when he had a 52% completion percentage and 10-12 TD to INT ratio
  16. It’s interesting as Polian has made some interesting comments about black players, specifically QBs, in the past Players? Or one player, when he gave the opinion he thought Jackson was better suited for wide receiver? He admitted he was mistaken about that and he also hired Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell with the Colts. Yeah maybe he just hates Lamar. He was also one of 3 (out of 50) people to not vote Lamar to the All-Pro team after 2020. But either way, comments like the one you mention perpetuate the stereotype that black people are not good QBs, however innocent his intentions were.
  17. Given the news about Flores and Watson potentially looking to team up wherever he goes, and the fact that he was ready to give up on a young QB after less than a year, should we be concerned about that if he came here? Would they really trade Fields for Watson (maybe not directly, but basically swapping the QBs on their roster)? I didn't think much of George's comments that were non-committal about Fields. I didn't see it as a rebuke of him, just him not trying to limit his pool of candidates by saying they must work with Fields, but now I wonder... On the flip side, I'm not sure the McCaskey's would want the massive PR hit they would get if they traded for Watson.
  18. Sad about Grobber. I always found his relationship with the media and listeners interesting. He was constantly teased by everyone, literally everyone...Boers and Bernstein had about 50 different audio snippets of his they would use regularly on their show. But there was also an immense amount of respect and fondness for him by those same people. RIP Grobber
  19. Yeah it seems to be a consistent enough theme that they're clearly making a concerted effort. On top of that too I assume that Kelly, if he doesn't get a full GM job here or elsewhere, seems likely to be the #2 in the new FO. It’s interesting as Polian has made some interesting comments about black players, specifically QBs, in the past
  20. Really tough next 3 games (@Memphis, Cleveland, @ Milwaukee). If we could somehow win one of those games that would be extremely helpful, though will be tough without Lonzo, Lavine and Caruso (for at least some of those games). After that the schedule is a little more manageable, though road heavy.
  21. Just realized that if TB wins the Super Bowl, Tom Brady will have more career playoff wins than every other franchise in NFL history Right now: Patriots - 37 Steelers - 36 Packers - 36 Cowboys - 35 Brady - 34 Brady is well on his way to winning today. He would pass the Cowboys and tie the Packers en route to Super Bowl. The only team that could mess that up would be the Steelers but they would have to make it to the Super Bowl.
