  1. Just for fun, the 5 Chicago teams have a combined .373 winning percentage during their most recent seasons. That is the equivalent of a 60-102 baseball team.
  2. I seriously wonder what the response is going to be from the organization if this team wins like 65 games. Probably nothing because the Cubs are not a serious franchise
  3. Fulmer needs to be DFA’d tomorrow. Just doesn’t have it 8 ER in his last 4 IP.
  4. Guessing this is Fox’s B game so most people who aren’t in Cincinnati or Chicago are gonna get Guardians/Cardinals. Tough luck
  5. Luton wins it...Horvath didn't do much though, 0-5 on PKs, the 6th sailed high and wide of the net clinching the win. Luton has a 10,000 seat stadium and has $10m worth of work to do over the next couple of months to be able to host Premier League matches. 10 years ago, Luton was in the 5th tier National League, now they're in the PL
  6. Luton and Coventry going to PKs to decide Premier League promotion. Horvath is the Luton keeper, should be fun.
  7. He definitely looks bad but then I also think about the things I would say if my ex-wife was dating a friend/teammate’s son lol
  8. That's an interesting question. If they finish 71-91 and attempt to add a 4th and 5th year to the "retool" there should be serious questions about whether they have the right people in charge.
  9. Such an unfun team. 9-18 over their last 27 games. I was hoping (still am) that this is an ok team in a bad funk but the longer it goes the more it seems like its just a bad team being bad.
  10. 16 runs allowed in the Cubs last 12 innings and counting
  11. Why is he starting so often though. I believe he just started 2 nights ago. Guessing the day after night thing but horsefeathers if he's going to be the backup catcher he should start once every 5 games or so. If we need a backup catcher more DFA him and bring up Amaya.
  12. Bet the Patriots grab him. I have no interest for the Bears unless he was willing to take a 1 year deal to help us get to the floor and even then if it affects our ability to sigh a pass rusher then nevermind.
  13. The least funniest thing would be for them to finish off the comeback, sweep the Nuggets giving Boston another title and their fans pointing out 2004 Red Sox parallels for the rest of time.
  14. Holy hell, does Ross just assume Steele = win so let’s make the lineup by drawing names out of a hat?
  15. Just looked it up, worse than I thought. Nothing crushed but one was 93 mph and another 90. xBA were .930, .610, .340, .580
  16. Ugh 2 extremely soft bloop hits and then a grounder through the right side lead to a run. Kyle is pitching really well this inning too imo just terrible luck edit and then another grounder through the right side for 2 more runs. Yikes That one was hit harder but still perfectly placed
  17. Good bye Nick Madrigal. Would have been more fitting if he was sent down for Heuer but this works. Edit: Still getting used to navigating this side, I guess its being discussed elsewhere
  18. Yeah unless he is terrible, I believe he has a club option for $16 mil next year which I would easily take for some stability. Seems like he's well liked and respected in the clubhouse too...if we sell this offseason I'd prefer it to be a sell off that doesn't hurt the 2024 team....if we're going into next year not prepared to contend that's a huge issue.
  19. No idea what to expect from Kyle but won't put too much emphasis on his first MLB start in 10 months. Just happy to see him on the mound for the Cubs.
