  1. Seems to have lost his command a bit in the 7th unfortunately. If he finishes this inning it his will probably be his last
  2. OK, here is my list. I'm including past and present stadiums. I grade them roughly like this: Atmosphere - 60% Aesthetic - 25% Neighborhood/Misc - 15% I don't care about food options or how easy it is to find a bathroom or whatever. Just going off the level of enjoyment I had at the game and how nice the park was. 1. Wrigley Field 2. Oracle Park 3. Fenway Park 4. Old Yankee Stadium 5. Camden Yards 6. Old Comiskey Park 7. Kauffman Stadium 8. Guaranteed Rate Field 9. Nationals Park 10. Chase Field 11. Miller Park 12. Great American Ballpark 13. Qualcomm Stadium (SD) 14. Angels Stadium 15. Metrodome 16. Olympic Stadium (could have been influenced by my 19 year old self being able to buy tons of cheap beer) 17. County Stadium (MIL) 18. Memorial Stadium (BAL) There are also about 7-8 ballparks that I've literally walked around the perimeter of and peeked into the park but they weren't in town while I was, but I especially loved walking around Petco Park and Minute Maid Park, not as much Citizen Bank Park and Dodger Stadium (both surrounded by miles of parking lots)
  3. Is it just me or have we seem a lot of wide zones lately? Almost feels like umps have collectively decided to expand the strike zone by a couple of inches just for fun.
  4. Including bases loaded line drives hit by the Pirates that go directly to a Cubs fielder.
  5. Nice piece of hitting by Tauchman to give the Cubs the lead. Assist to the random rain that clearly bothered Bido
  6. Nice hit by Gomes to put 2 on with 2 outs. Unfortunately the designated pitcher is due up
  7. Seems like an odd time to go over the luxury tax. I mean it’s strange to complain about never going over and then complain about possibly going over but I’m dubious that JR suddenly decided to win at all costs.
  8. Yeah basically teams will decline to draft anyone until they get to a round that they feel comfortable giving up their pick in. The Bears will just have 1st choice in each round. So if teams peg him as a 5th round pick, the Bears can grab him with the first pick in that round, but it’s possible a team in the 4th round decides it’s worth the risk and grabs him
  9. I can’t ever remember the team looking as fun as it’s looked the last 2 games. So many “woah” moments from the US attack. Not to take too much from 2 games but this generation’s ceiling seems higher than I expected and it was already relatively high
  10. We were having too much fun with Gio so the soccer gods had to take him away from us 😞
  11. This is horsefeathering FUN
  12. I get how they could take on his salary, just crazy how they were able to get another star, albeit one with a gigantic contract, despite not having any 1sts a few months after trading for Durant.
  13. How the hell can they afford to just keep adding talent? Must be nice.
  14. Obviously it’s in not a bad result to win 2 of 3 from the Orioles but they are also the kind of series that we need to finish off when they win the first 2 to make up for the hole we built for ourselves. We had a chance to sweep each of the 3 best teams in the AL and dropped the final game against all 3 (barring 9th inning comeback).
  15. He’s improved over his last 4 starts. Earlier he was going less than 5 innings and giving up 3+ runs a game. Now he’s consistently going at least 5 but still giving up crooked numbers. Basically he’s improved enough to be considered a mediocre 5th starter, not the above average 3rd starter we signed
  16. Well it was fun watching Taillon not get lit up for 3 innings
  17. Reds about to win their 7th in a row and 10th in their last 12. I know they have a lot of young talent but are they really good enough to run away with the division? I feel like the pitching still has major question marks. But they just keep winning.
  18. 4th of July maybe??
  19. Cubs have played 7 of the 10 teams at 500 or above in the AL. If we can just ignore the 0-6 against the Astros and Angels, they are 9-5 against the rest 😂 also interesting that they’ve played 0 of the 5 AL teams below 500
  20. Finally get to 5 in a row! I mocked Ross a bit for the sacrifice bunt in the 5th but it worked and ended up being the winning run
  21. How many times have Madrigal or Mastrobuoni bunted in the last week?
