  1. Taillon already has us behind ugh edit; and another run. How many years did we sign him for?
  2. Somehow Jose Canseco keeps popping up as an option for these grids. That's who I used for Bos/Tex. Corey Kluber is another one that popped into my head, though apparently he only pitched literally 1 inning for Texas so I'm not sure how I was able to remember him playing there.
  3. I know next to nothing about NASCAR, can anyone explain what this Chicago Street Race is? I figured it was just some exhibition or maybe a new street racing circuit that they have is various cities across the US, but it seems like its an actual NASCAR race just like the Daytona 500? I thought all NASCAR tracks were oval shaped but obviously this one is much different.
  4. Konerko immediately jumped into my head when I got to White Sox/Dodgers. Kimbrel is another recent one. I think that's what makes this so fun. On the surface you think "How hard could it be to think of someone who played for both the Dodgers and White Sox?" and sometimes it is easy, other times you feel like an idiot because you can't think of a single name despite there surely being obvious answers. Also for some reason my brain only wants to think about people who played from roughly 1995-2008
  5. Richie Sexson popped into my head as I vaguely remember a Yankees stint before the end of his career but wasn't confident enough to guess it. Turns out he played the final 22 games of his career with the Yankees
  6. This is the first one I didn't finish. I can't believe Kershaw doesn't have 3000k yet (he's currently at 2910). I put that guess in with full confidence. Then stupidly tried Drysdale before realizing they didn't have to have 3k with the Dodgers, just 3k and play for the Dodgers so went with Maddux. I did enjoy making Jose Canseco my White Sox/Yankees guess which was at 0.5%.
  7. Dude Madrigal hit 2 balls over the OFs head this series. He just missed a HR. How??
  8. Cubs finally get a couple runners on and hit 2 line drives directly at fielders
  9. Batting practice for the Cardinals today. That’s probably how they felt about us yesterday
  10. Steele now has a lower ERA than Stro. I think they should both make the ASG
  11. He did have a 2 run double in the 1st inning at least
  12. Finally...a deserved equalizer
  13. I know this is Jamaica's A team with Premier League attackers vs. the US B team but way too many bad turnovers and dangerous chances given up by US tonight. Not to mention the standard difficulty finishing I'd be thrilled to equalize and walk out of here with a draw at this point
  14. Almost came back from 3 down in the 9th but only got 2 back.
  15. Random question but I noticed there were quite a few people in the dugout and I can swear I saw Velazquez and Rios sitting there. Im guessing one of them was the 27th man today and the other is the 27th man tomorrow? Or did the Cubs just bring a large contingent to England? edit: oh maybe they just brought extra guys in case of injury
  16. Some 2007 vibes with this team. Not in terms of the baseball played because they are very different but the offseason signings, bad start, mediocre division keeps us in the conversation and then they get hot and then turn the season around (hopefully)
  17. It would be really fun if the Cubs and Reds continued to battle for the division the rest of the season. The Cubs and Reds have been in the same division since 1995 and I don’t believe we’ve ever battled with them for a playoff spot or division. Everytime we’ve been good they’ve been bad and vice versa. of course what I’d really prefer is the reds cool off and the cubs stay hot and win the division easily.
