Lee sounds like he's developing Sammy Sosa "must hit a HR" syndrome this series. I think hes flied out to the deep OF 5 times in the past 2 games.

OMG, if I had $5 for everytime Pat Hughes randomly brought up This Old Cub out of nowhere... I understand the cause and its noble, but shoving it down our throats is kinda annoying. Also Ron spent 10 minutes telling some story about a pizza had nothing to do with baseball, and Pat couldn't update the game for ten minutes. Sometimes suprisingly these guys get on my nerves, and I know thats blasphamy to say to some.

I knew this would happen after the second game of the series. The Cubs became obsessed with homers and are trying to drive everything out of the park. Meanwhile the gopher brothers Wood and Maddux would be serving up HRs like hotcakes. You can never win with the Cubs..

Can he legally force himself to have surgury without the team's consent? Isn't that a violation of his contract? He's basically opting not to pitch.

Lets disect the post: So basically trying to make himself seem genuine in order to get people to actually believe his post. Even if he is a troll, wouldn't he put a disclaimer up to protect himself because he knows we are all smart enough to not take everyone at their word? He could have been "trying to make himself seem genuine" or he could have actually been genuine. There's no real way of knowing which one he was. Granted, there have been trolls like this plenty of times before on msg boards, but just because he was new doesn't mean he was a troll, perhaps he was legit. I don't think we really know for certain. Based on everything else I said, that just adds to it. He could have been genuine, but there was a crapload of faulty logic in his post, thats all I was trying to point out.

Yet he only produced one name that he used at ESPN, and he said he only "lurked there" and barely posted. Who is he? The janitor? The assistant to the traveling secertary? How does someone other then a high-ranking official know about a trade that hasn't even been completed? Did they send out a memo to all the employees that they were about to trade their marquee name to the team they are in the middle of playing? Doesn't his friend have anything better to do then find out transactions a mere hours before they are revealed and tell them to supposed Cubs fans? "Hey man, I know you are a Cubs fan and all, but I figured I'd let you know that THE joe randa is signing with the reds. I figured you should know a few hours before you read it as a blurb at the bottom of the daily transactions page. again, a low ranking official is giving 48 hour notice about a trade, and violates a confidentiality agreement I'm sure he signed before working, to tell his Cub fan friend so that he could post it all over the internet Sure, you knew you were going to get banned anyways. C'mon guys, I understand the excitement, but how can you take a guy at his word and make a 30+ page thread spewing over the possibility of Dunn. I understand what your saying satex, but isnt someone making his first post FAR MORE LIKELY to be feeding us hogwash then someone with 10,000 plus non-bannable posts?

It's a gamble either way because even if he is legit, several things can happen between now and then to dissolve a deal. Remember the Bruce Levine rumor, I have every reason to believe it was true, but something happened (like Remmy getting hurt) and deal never came true and Levine looked like an idiot.
