    pass. He's Gary Gaetti 2008 Disagree, I don't recall Gaetti playing this well in '98. While I think it's foolish to get too caught up in what Edmonds is doing...it's not completely out of the question to think about bringing him back. Gaetti put up a 154 OPS+ with the Cubs that year... .320 .397 .594 In 128 ABs.

Lilly tomorrow. Zambrano, Dempster and one of the three mentioned above Sunday. I'm guessing it depends on the number of pitches Marquis throws today.

    It's not raining in Atlanta, nor are there any threatening storms in the vicinity or approaching. There will be no delays in the games being played on time and in their entirety.

    Look just because Marquis is decent for a number 5 starter doesn't mean we can't all be scared when he pitches.

    They are 18-4 in their last 22 non-Cub games.

    Kinda funny that the Cubs have won 4 of their last 5 games and have lost 2 games in the standings during that time.

    Ugh we lose a game in the standings without even playing. Tomorrow we could be up 1.5 games or we could be up 4.5 games depending on how things go. (assuming the Brewers hang on today)

    I don't think 1 player makes a 15.5 difference in the standings. The Brewers are much better top to bottom than the Reds.

    Blah, first Padres batter of the game hit a ball to dead center and Cameron caught it with his back against the wall. Second better hit a blooper that Cameron made a sliding catch on.

    It would be a mad house if they erected a video replay board just to show a foul ball call. There are TVs in the upper and lower decks... Yeah I know, when he said "they wouldn't show it at the park", I didn't think he meant WGN

    I'm fine with people swinging at the first pitch when it's a pitch they can hammer, but so often they swing at the first pitch and look completely foolish doing so. I sometimes think certain players swing at the first pitch just to be swinging at the first pitch. When you have a very good pitcher on an 80 pitch count, I get pissed when the Cubs aren't patient regardless of their season OBP rankings.
