    So this is what I can find with the Bears schedule yet, since it hasn't leaked Week 1 (9/12) - vs. Lions Week 4 (10/3) - @ Giants Week 7 (10/24) - vs. Redskins Week 9 (11/7) - @ Bills (Toronto, ON) Week 13 (12/5) - @ Lions Week 17 (1/1-1/3) - vs./@ Packers (week 17 is divisional games, and Lions are playing Minny already) According to PFT, we are not opening the Giants stadium, Carolina is. Also the Cowboys are playing the Saints on thanksgiving, not the bears. I also read on twitter (not sure how legit) that the Bears and Packers will have a MNF game in Chicago this year.

    From that infamous Preds blog: Hahaha, I mean I don't think we completely destroyed the Preds in game 2 as some in the Chicago media would have you believe, but to say you did a bunch of good things but "couldn't put it together" (which basically means they were unlucky) is hilarious. Honestly, if the Preds and Hawks had reversed roles, I'd probably be saying the same things, but I just feel like getting riled up. I hope/think/believe that I am going to enjoy the game tonight. Also, its funny that in games 1-2 people kept bringing up how Nashville had the 4th best road record in in the West, but the Hawks had the 3rd best road record in the west, and were one OT win (instead of OTL) away from having the best road record in the West, but no one brings that up. No one brings up that since the Preds had a worse road record than us (ever so slightly), and they finished 12 points behind the Hawks in the standings, that means that they must have a much worse home record than the Hawks. And sure enough the Hawks took 11 more points at home during the year than the Preds. So advantage us.

    I don't think you can serve while on the DL, at least with short team suspensions. I remember there was a big argument about Kerry Wood back in 04 and how he was injured and still had to serve 5 games after he was healthy enough to pitch. I think Barrett had the same issue back in 06 after decking AJ Eyechart. I don't think theres a way to prove or enforce that but I think if it's sketchy timing, the league is going to be on you for it.

    I'd be fine with Colorado finishing them off. They are dangerous. If they ever figure *it* out, whatever that is, they could roll all the way to a final with the Caps. And what a series that would be. I'd love to see Colorado finish it off so the Hawks could face them in the 2nd round. I know its a case of be careful what you wish for, but the alternatives (Vancouver/LA Kings, Detroit/Phoenix) scare me more.

    I heard ARam got in the way of one of his cockfighting participants just before spring training and it was kept hush hush so the media wouldn't pick up on it. That and he's just so damn lazy.

    It is ridiculous to come here and defend the Cardinals on a Cubs board. I saw a ton of silly comments about the Cubs on gatewayredbirds in 2008 and I didn't feel the need to come and prove each comment wrong.

    Much respect to the Cavs for shooting 12-18 from the field 4-4 from 3 point land and 9-9 from FT line in the 4th quarter tonight. As good of a shooting team as Cleveland is, that won't happen again. Bulls win their only game of the series on Thursday night.

    He didn't say Z specifically I don't think, but who knows maybe he was thinking it. Probably not though, theres no way they would move a pitcher who has had an under 4 ERA every year of his long career to the pen in favor of Tom Gorzelanny.

    If you are going to market a star driven entertainment, the stars must prevail. Wouldn't the fact that they are more talented than the rest of the league allow them to prevail without the benefit of biased officiating?

    Yeah I mean I could be wrong, but to me the effort and intensity looked night and day from Game 1 for a lot of the team, which makes me wonder why in the hell it wasn't there on Friday night.

    There was a lot of talk that Ozzie lobbied with Kenny Williams to build the type of ballclub he has now, one with good pitching and an offense built around speed. Ozzie got the team he wanted and is currently floundering with it. I would think they'd give him at least a third of the season before caning him. However, I believe this Sox team is better than a 4-9 team and should play well enough that it won't become a serious issue (firing Ozzie that is)

    It reminds me a little of the Cubs giving the Dodgers 7 outs in an inning and every IF having an error in the game. I was just on ESPN.com and checked the score of the game and it said SJ won 1-0 in OT. Then I went back a minute later and it said COL won 1-0 in OT. ESPN was correct in that a SJ player scored a goal.

    Follow the minors. We have a lot to be excited about down there. And the offense is better than how they've played. And the starting pitching has been really really excellent so far this year for the most part. I don't think there is a big gap between us and the Cardinals, I really don't. We've lost 7 games this year, and 6 of them have been within 2 runs (4 of them 1 run losses). Break that down even further and 4 of those 6 losses have been in games where we scored less than 4 runs in the game. That screams of a team that is desperately needed to hit better. Then you look at some of the starts some of the Cubs have gotten off to....you would clearly expect them to hit better and score more runs than they have so far. Anyways, they haven't played great, but I don't think they've been bad either. Take out a horrible opening day, and our run differential for the next 11 games is +6 (47 scored, 41 allowed) despite being 5-6 in those games. This team isn't horrible (at least hasn't proven so yet).
