  1. There have been some games, more than you'd think where a position player pitched in a close game, almost always games that go really deep into extra innings. As for ones that resulted in a decision by a position player, I have no idea.
  2. Does Hinrich really deserve foul calls? All he does is whine and complain. If I were a ref, I wouldn't give him any call just because of that. when he drives the lane and gets thrown to the floor without a call, he has every right to whine and complain The problem is he complains about every little thing. I guarantee you that he'd get the benefit of the doubt if he knew how to quiet his mouth. By that logic LeBron, Wade and every other superstar should never get calls either. Rasheed Wallace would go years in between shooting FTs.
  3. 4-2 homestand anyone? I'll take it. Let's avoid letting the Astros win their first series of the season. Go Cubs!
  4. Those 2 obviously still don't like each other do they?
  5. I actually just came on here to post that if Hawks fans wanted to see a crowd to emulate tomorrow, look at the Capitals crowd tonight. I'll be there tomorrow, so I'll try to liven my section up dex.
  6. I read that the Bulls take more 15-20 foot jumpers(the worst shot on the floor) than any team in the NBA. Not sure if that's due to personnel(no shooters for Rose to kick to) or coaching, but it's the big reason why they're not a very good offensive team. I also read that and I also read Rose took more of those shots than any player in the league but he made just under 50% of those shots.
  7. I'm watching at the bar...has the officiating been as dubious as it's looked so far? I feel like every bulls player has 3 fouls.
  8. I'm shocked at how badly Varejao has abused Noah in this game.
  9. I wanted to go to Jay Z's 40-40 Club, but I guess it was in Las Vegas, not the Dominican Republic. Whoops, that was a waste of a trip.
  10. I know some Brewers fans that had guarded optimism for the season. For some reason they thought Randy Wolf was going to make their rotation much much better or something.
  11. Well if it makes Blackhawks fans better, all 4 of the underdogs that lost Wednesday (NJ, SJ, Det, Pit) all won tonight.
  12. And the Sharks loosen the grip on their throats and score with 31 seconds left with a pulled goalie.
  13. Sharks are outshooting the Avs 45-18 and the Avs are winning.
  14. The end of this Avs-Sharks game is really really entertaining. The Sharks have had like 37 great opportunities to score on this PP but haven't yet. Would be hilarious if the Avs won that series, but the Blackhawks lost theirs, thus ruining a great shot to cruise into the conference finals.
  15. Like I said, the fans were so nervous they sat on their hands waiting for a collapse. Just like the Cubs crowds in the 08 NLDS.
  16. Exactly. This predator team is going to get outskated and outclass for the rest of the playoffs. I will go ahead and say it...The Preds got the only win they are going to get tonight. The Hawks will win the next 4 and this loss will be forgotten. I hope so. One thing I noticed, especially when the Preds had the lead, they did a nice job of keeping the puck on the boards. The Hawks are a lethal team in open ice, and have definitely shown that they struggle when they can't get space to move the puck around.
  17. If you thought our Cubs game threads were bad, the 300 level has taken it to a new level on their board. Calling the level of intensity by the Blackhawks fit for a preseason game. Several posters saying the Hawks will get swept. Claiming they have no work ethic, etc. Reading it actually makes me feel better for some reason.
  18. I attribute it to the Cubs being in attendance. *ducks*
  19. their game plan really got to us? what was their game plan? to get dominated for 2 periods, score a lucky goal, and then have troy brouwer give them the winning one? the blackhawks were clearly the more skilled team on the ice. the predators won because the blakchawks allowed them to. they allowed their typical soft goal and then fell apart for the next several minutes like they always do. i don't understand why they always collapse right after giving up one of those soft goals. they always look like a completely different team when they get gut punched by one of the clowns in goal The Blackhawks could barely spend any time in the Preds zone with possession. You don't think that was by design? Also, the Preds had the upper hand for about half the first period as well. So for 1.5 periods the Preds looked better with the Hawks dominating the other 1.5 periods. But all year long we've been bitching about the Hawks dominating and not scoring, so it doesn't really mean anything I guess..
  20. This looked like the team that [expletive] the bed in March more than the one that had a 6 game winning streak at the end of the season. And I'm not just saying that because we lost.
  21. Maybe this means the Bulls will win game 1. Once again the Hawks give up a goal and the wheels come off and they lose.
  22. This game was the only game 1 that was decided by more than 1 goal.
  23. Q needs to really make adjustments before game 2. Their game plan really got to us.
  24. We're still the better team so whatever. It's not like we can't beat them in Nashville. Obviously not at all idea and sucks but the series isn't over.
  25. Man we've missed out on so many good chances because we've been unable to field a pass cleanly.
