Here we go. I'm such a sucker. I know Dallas is going to win but I just can't give up that little bit of hope. I gotta stop myself from thinking how awesome it would be to take it to Vancouver and their pushover goalie. I can tell you who Vancouver is rooting for tonight and its not Minnesota

1 out of 3 is NOT a good series. Sure but it was almost 2/3. Play this way most series and you win 2/3, so I'm not all that upset. It's a long ass season so all I'm really worried about right now is overall decent play. Almost means nothing in the standings. I agree. But in 162 game season, there is a million opportunities to make up for a blown game or whatever. I thought the Cubs were a 75-80 win team going into this season but what I am seeing is consistent hitting (other than last night), acceptable starting pitching, and we'd be 6-3 if i weren't for our strong back end of the pen blowing 2 games. The 8th and 9th guys arent going to blow 2 out of every 9 games. So to me, this is a positive start for the season, if not frustrating of course. But starting 4-5 doesnt take you out of any playoff race at all. Starting 9-0 doesn't guarantee you a playoff spot. I'm just trying to glass half full it because overall I see a lot of good things. -

What a fine day in Chicago sports. Only win the most meaningless of the 3 games. Good series, but poor way to finish it. Just win 2/3 next series and we'll be fine.

Based on his minor league numbers, I'm not upset at all. Just sucks really badly that he seems to enjoy beating us.

This will be a moral victory for the Cubs. Went on the road against a contender for the division and should have taken 2/3

So glad we cut that guy loose. The back of the pen is supposed to be our strongest spot so although this sucks, it won't be like this all the time. Plenty to be happy about this weekend despite the series loss (if we don't come back)

Adelkader is one of the cleanest hitters in the NHL. His hit was a retaliation from a similar hit he received earlier...just saying Every game the Wings play the Hawks I always see at least one cheap shot from him. I'm glad you think he's an angel though. I am not going to have a fan on fan pissing contest on who is dirtier...I could easily point out some tactics that certain Blackhawks do that I would consider dirty. Adelkader's game is based on hitting. I am sure that not all of them are clean as clean gets, but he usually has his stick and elbows down. That's fine. Just dont come here after a humiliating loss to our arch rivals to knock us out of the playoffs and talk about how clean your guys play. You are a very respectable poster and I know I'm just bitching because I'm frustrated but still. The good news for you guys is, the last arch rival to knock a Chicago team out of the playoffs went on to win the championship. So you got that going for you.

Ugh...that was all 8-10 days ago. Not trying to call anyone out of course. Just showing how good it looked a week ago...and then talking about how we own the tiebreaker when that is what is going to knock us out.

It's really depressing to hear the Hawks radio guys giving their thank yous and best wishes for the summer in case this is their last broadcast until September.

Did you know....if Dallas wins in regulation tonight, the last 4 Chicago teams to go to the championship round did not make the playoffs the next year.

Just think....we could have won today ad had a fantastic chance to get into the 2nd round. Now at best we have a 4-5 game drubbing by Vancouver. At worst we become the 3rd team to win the Cup and not make the playoffs the nxt year
