Evaluate a trade, anyone? I have the shittiest receivers ever: Cordelle Patterson, Marques Colston, Percy Harvin, Greg Jennings (Josh Gordon stashed on bench). I have better RBs: Jamaal Charles, Giovani Bernard, Lamar Miller, Donald Brown. Plus there are decent RBs on waiver wire. We start 3 WR and 2 RB (no flex). I trade: Jamaal Charles, Marques Colston (filler...he's gonna drop) I get: DeMarius Thomas and Ahmad Bradshaw (or CJ Spiller, my choice)

The A's will still have a good rotation next year, hypothetically they could compete but with the Angels and Mariners in their division, not to mention the Rangers getting healthy and the Astros young guys, it's going to be very hard for them to make the playoffs next year. A shame. What a great night of baseball though. Go KC!

Or that Yost couldn't bear to leave his ace in more than 5 innings because he gave up a broken bat hit and walk. Supposedly one of the main reasons they gave up so much to get Shields is his post season experience and the first time they get a chance to use it the manager pulls him because he has two runners on base with a one run lead just so he can bring in a rookie that hasn't pitched out of the bullpen all season. and started a game 2 days ago, throwing almost 80 pitches

I know this is obvious but I want to lay it all out -Marshall said this on a weekly tv show which he is paid to...speak to members of the media -He also signed with ESPN 1000 to alternate weekly with Jay Cutler on his weekly radio show -Finally let's not forget the 45 minute press conference/rant he went out of his way to hold Brandon Marshall....who you crappin? People someone call this in or email it. -
In 4 innings, the Royals already have more postseason memories than the Cubs do since 2003. Unless you count Geo or DeRosa's homers

So many guys like that, the game sort of fell back to their level in the post PED era. Good point. It kind of feels like I'm watching an HD game from the 80s right now given the teams and their respective lineups. Almost expecting Bob Welch to take the mound for Oakland.

Makes sense. Good division, with no teams under .500 and the Bears lost a home game in the division. That can swing things in a big way. very big considering they had the best odds last week (although the Bears, Packers and Lions were all pretty close) -

Looking back at the Shark trade.....at the time the Cubs were 38-46, and the A's 55-33. After the trade, the Cubs went 35-43, and the A's went 35-41. That means that Shark (and Hammel) were on a team for 160 games this year, and that "team" went....73-87, and now Shark is going to the playoffs.

I think that the Michigan mob at this point is trying for a 2-for-1 Hoke and Brandon firing at this point so at this point it's about making the entire program look incompetent and careless.

The whole situation is embarrassing for Michigan. They waited until 1 am ET to release Brandon's statement saying Morris had a concussion and somehow Hoke, the coaching staff and the athletic trainers didn't see the hit and subsequent wobble by Morris. They let Hoke speak at a press conference yesterday where he only addresses the ankle injury and claims he has no knowledge of a concussion. Brandon says they will have a medical update late in the day which is snuck out at 1 am despite UM blog rumors that the administration knew Morris had a concussion before Hokes PC.

I wonder if the Thunder will get one of those strips... I think they said that they would not wear one. For those franchises that moved, it's their choice. For instance I believe the Hawks and Kings will both wear it.

Why are people rooting for the Pirates? Sure I'd rather them win than the Cardinals and Dodgers but they are division rivals who beat us annoyingly too frequently. Last year it was cute to see them in the playoffs after a long absence but this year they might as well be the Brewers or Reds to me.
