  1. yeah it's just dirt on the grave Jesus. You guys aren't horsefeathering kidding: https://dfmworkers.org/video-watch-what-hedge-fund-alden-global-capital-has-done-to-the-pulitzer-prize-winning-denver-post-newsroom/ Yeah, that edited photo made the rounds on twitter a week ago or so. (My friend is alone in a sea of black, center left.) What is crazy is a newspaper publishing an op-ed like this about its OWNERSHIP (which, incidently, is completely true): https://www.denverpost.com/2018/04/06/as-vultures-circle-the-denver-post-must-be-saved/
  2. This is completely true. If I were heavily drugged in Citi I could be convinced I was in Denver as I walked around the consessions.
  3. I have a good friend who is a copy editor for the Denver Post. Was considering emailing her right now to tease her, but horsefeathers is pretty brutal there right now.
  4. None of those names rang a bell so I looked him up. It was Scott Anders, he was drafted in 1985, but yeah, played 2 years in the minors with terrible stats. All I know is that its horsefeathers that I didn't even make the cut for the freshman-level soccer team in high school. Complete horsefeathers.
  5. Since we are digging into those numbers I will point out that we are 1st in pull % and have the highest BABIP among the top 5 in that category at 280. I get it that we are hitting the ball hard and we want to summarily attribute that to bad luck but I think we must acknowledge that in this day of defensive shifts and more accurate than ever spray charts, we are playing into our opponents hands a bit....if we have a high BABIP for similarly pull-heavy teams, then doesn't that kind of crap on your point?
  6. Add me to the list. I feel the need to make a difference.
  7. Oh cool. I have a new team to root against. The Cardinals/Giants of the AL: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/twins-completely-overreact-orioles-bunting-beat-shift-one-hitter-225336945.html
  8. This seems familiar to me. Didn't the Cards have an OF who literally couldn't throw the ball (due to injury) a few years ago?
  9. Huh. And today I learned that Happ's dad was a USGA agronomist for 23 years.
  10. I find it highly dubious that woman is a soprano. Well...I see where you are going but there are a lot of large soprano singers. Would you prefer this guy? [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  11. Gameday put ball 2 of Wilson's second AB pitched almost dead center in the zone.
  12. I think I could pull it off, but why?
  13. Despite me having not seen it, this was a good call to start the year. We should be sure to schedule some easy targets for the summer doldrums...Seinfeld, Office, P&R, before coming back strong at the end of year with the classics. My only request is the Wire.
  14. It should be a feature of MLB.tv. All players mic'd all the time, and as a subscriber, you get to choose which audio stream to listen to. That kind of feature seems like it would fit in better on the facebook broadcasts...
  15. That's got to be the least bold prediction I've read in ages... It's pretty bold to think they'll lose 68 times I think its nearly exactly what fangraphs predicts what will happen.
  16. I'm not letting you talk anyone out of Harper to the Cubs. Even if the Addy/Javy situation plays out like you describe, you just put the winner at SS and put Happ at 2B.
