Criticizing Maddon overall in a vague way seems dumb. He is clearly a good manager. You really don't need to turn up the volume on criticism simply because the board justly likes him. As you can see, everyone is more than willing to wonder wtf he's doing when he does something clearly dumb. Just look back at the last two pages if you need evidence. So stick to harping on this dumbness, not his managing in general, or the people that correctly praise him for being awesome in general. And "they" don't get jumped on for it with personal attacks nearly as often, which is what CAUSES the back and forth....do that and i'm putting you in your place...simple as that. Because they are throwing shade when it makes sense to do so, as opposed to when you do it, which seems to be at completely random and spiteful times. -
I don't get this crusade. You already have said you think Maddon is one of the best managers in the game. Just pointing out the facts...the ones soaking their tampons over my doing so are the ones on the "crusade"... Just slapping them around a bit after their misguided initial attacks. Huh? You're not a major league manager so the onus is on you to prove through math that you're ridiculous rantings and ravings hold any water. You're not rent free anywhere at all, I just find this weird crusade to be a truly special thing to behold until you flame out and say something that gets you banned. It's going to happen. If you think Maddon is a terrible manager you should go watch some Cardinals games, but I suspect you probably do watch a ton of Cardinal games see Matheny work his magic and troll on a Cubs board as a form of therapy.
