Thought experiment for everyone. Before this series started, if some genie sidled up to you and said "I can put the series at 2-1 Cubs, but the Giants have a 5-2 lead in the middle of the 7th" would you have given him the thumbs up? -

5 years ago this board would have been hooting and yeehawing over a dongeriffic, all-offense line up like that. I'm still in that camp. Unleash the dongs. Bring Almora and JHey in after the 5th when we have a 4 run lead. ...or hell, do it as soon as Soler has his first AB. As the visitors, we bat first. Maybe it just makes more sense, with largerish rosters, to put in your all-offense line up right off the bat and sub in gloves when needed on the road...against a strong SP...when you are featuring a K-centric SP.

Not nearly as good as changing that window signage from "BUCS" to "CUBS" last year, but I kinda enjoyed it.

Soler threw out some Card in the playoffs at a really, really critical spot last year on an amazing throw. Because of that, I'll pretend he's almost as good as JHey out there, and loathe the lack of dongage. Sue me. This is coming from a guy that can't count to five effectively so take it for what its worth.
