  1. Eberflus talks a big game on coach accountability and clearly Waldron isn’t up to the task. Thomas Brown can take over. But if you fire your OC after week 4, which isn’t happening, that’s on Eberflus just as much. Bring in Slowik or Johnson next year.
  2. Caleb looks pretty darn good? Not yet.
  3. Just don’t say you are trying to win every game when you have a history of being really bad at tanking and not wanting to give up on your crappy core
  4. They can’t even tank right. The fans will still come. You don’t have to tell us you are trying to win in a year where the draft is supposed to be great.
  5. Eberflus threw Davis under the bus preseason, but that was just for Davis’ lack of effort. But you can’t be afraid to criticize a player for things other than lack of effort. Not saying Eberflus has to be a jerk, but just a little more honesty. You begin to question if he has a good grasp on what’s really happening.
  6. He shouldn’t be 1:1 for max protect against a first round edge rusher. Kind of like how they had him running across the line to block Hunter 1:1 the week before. Kmet had a very good game last week overall.
  7. Byard and Kmet were honest about the team’s struggles, but Eberflus is mostly sunshine and rainbows. Can you begin to lose the locker room if a coach isn’t honest with where the team is at?
  8. I agree, Caleb is looking better each game despite a bad line and an OC who is doing him no favors. But it’s certainly not a given that Caleb becomes a star.
  9. It’s never just a matter of time. QBing in the NFL is very difficult.
  10. Bears picked the wrong guy again
  11. Only 18 rookie QBs have ever won 10 or more games. 9 have done it in the 21st century. Stroud, with arguably the best rookie QB season ever, only won 9. Winning 10 with Caleb was always a stretch no matter how good the Bears surrounding cast is.
  12. I think Caleb is as good as you can expect at this point. The expectations were just too high to go 10-7 or whatever most people thought the Bears would go. When you have a bad line, no run game, and what looks to be a bad offensive coordinator, that’s not helping Caleb one bit. He is progressing each game, but he’s not the reason you are winning yet. Hopefully by midseason he is.
  13. Holmes isn’t a particular big name
  14. Spiegel and Holmes for the afternoon drive on 670. Bernstein and Marshall Harris middays. Goff turned down the afternoon drive because Audacy wanted him to give up his Ringer podcast and some other unnamed things. Don’t know how he was going to do Bulls pre and post and also do 670 afternoon drive either.
  15. Between the bad challenges last week and bad clock management today, Eberflus’ seat is only getting hotter
  16. I agree. A loss to a bad team, but I saw enough to be hopeful today.
  17. Luckily the Bears don't need their TOs
  18. I like the penalty because the Bears best chance of scoring is on defense
  19. “Best situation a #1 QB has ever come into.” Guess we forgot about the line and OC.
