And right after Hoyer said Caissie won’t be in for vets -
Good organizations don’t wait this long to do something about it and they certainly don’t want until the 5 game Brewers series to do it

The last line is correct, but I have not heard that Craig is riding any of his players hard behind the scenes. Pete has been asked this when he makes mental mistake after mental mistake and he said Craig doesn't talk to him about it.

Just not how Counsell operates. I could see Turner doing it though.

Bad teams lose like this and the Cubs look like a very bad team right now

Happ is your worst starter and has contributed 1 WAR this season. His hitting has only regressed in July and August. Let’s not make him out to be more than he is this year. The Cubs have a roster spot to fill now and I’m ready to give Caissie a few games to see how he does. It also wouldn’t hurt to see what you have in Caissie should the Cubs not sign Tucker.

When the team is struggling offensively and you are the worst hitter among the starters, if your number one prospect begins to play better than you and the playoff race gets tight, you shouldn’t expect to keep your job. I just don’t see why a .710 OPS corner OF can’t get benched for your #1 prospect if that prospect shows some pop.
