  1. Hinrich face away over Horford with plenty of time left. Why?
  2. He blows past everyone and is good at getting out of the way of a foul.
  3. Unbelievable. The Bulls play to their competition. No one can take Rose one on one.
  4. Yep. But Rose is the only guy who can do that in a half-court set. With Noah out, Miller is lagging behind in the fast break and the team suffered. The Bulls kept it close even though Atlanta has a ton more talent. It took the Bulls 11 years to get an all-star. How long before they get a legitimate low post scorer? Curry was really the last one. Man that dunk by Rose was just unbelievable.
  5. I saw that play materializing and was like "is he really going to do it?" And he did. Rose is a player. This team has talent, but they have terrible coaching. They are playing one-on-one basketball tonight. One guy dribbles, the rest watch. This is high school crap. Deng is the worst $70 million player I have ever seen. He is so limited. Give the ball to Rose and get out of the way. He doesn't need a stupid pick. Thomas never saw a shot he didn't like. He tried to copy Josh Smith's left handed hook shot which clanged off the backboard.
  6. Looks like the Devils just got him. Great move for them. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4888109&campaign=rss&source=NHLHeadlines I'm living in Atlanta right now and the fan base is livid. The Thrashers are only one point out of the playoffs, yet they are losing the fanchise's best player after offering him a contract very near the max. For a team that doesn't draw well, they offered him a good deal. I don't know if Atlanta is going to be able to support a team now. You can't lose Heatley, Kovi, and Hossa and only make the playoffs once in 10 years and expect to really support a team.
  7. Deng said they the Bulls need to get their swagger back. OK. But the problem is that when you are a .500 team, you don't know how to use your swagger. You think bad teams will lay down for you, but they aren't going to.
  8. They will be lucky to ever score a goal again. All the players should go home and never return during the olympic break. Every team hits a bad stretch. The Hawks will be fine. They are too talented to keep this up.
  9. Turner>Martz considering what types of players the Bears have. I wish they would have kept him now.
  10. Bosh was the only one I really have heard about. Maybe Wade, but I think he is staying in Miami. The Bulls really need a good frontline player. I've heard through various reporters that it's believed Wade is their #1 target then Bosh. I think Wade is a better player and would have a bigger impact, but Bosh sure seems like the better fit. I doubt we get either but imagine the marketing possibilities of having 2 superstars on your team both from Chicago. Taj Gibson and Noah's development might play a factor too. The better they get, the more comfortable Forman might be in going after Wade.

  12. When Nadal beat Federer at Wimbledon a few years ago, a lot of people thought that a changing of the guard had occurred. I had a feeling Federer was not going to slip into the background so quickly. Now two more for Federer to tie Navratilova's record.
  13. When was the last time the Bulls won five in a row on the road?
  14. And now he's woken up. He must have money on himself winning the fourth and the match going five sets. so is it generally assumed that he was throwing that match and they just couldn't find any proof of it? That's what I've always thought. He pulled out of a match against some scrub and there were millions of dollars wagered on him losing - way more than what's normal for total bets on a tennis match and I think it came after he won a set or was up in the match, though I might be wrong on that. I think you are right, but what company lets people bet after the match has already started?
  15. Is this the first Chicago Bulls All-Star since 1998?
  16. Just a week ago, they lost to the Clippers and Warruirs, so no. This is a playoff team. The problem is that they play to their competition when the competition is bad. Plus they are healthy now. They have beaten a bunch of very good teams (Cleveland, Spurs, Orlando) but lost to teams they shouldn't. No matter who the coach, this team doesn't heat up until the second half. No they just need to trade for Amare.
  17. Doesn't he have another year on his contract with Minnesota? Yep, for $13 million. I don't think any is guaranteed. Brett had a two-year deal with the Jets too. In many ways his season was nothing short of miraculus, even should he return, I don't think it's a given he'll have another such season. I think he could have about as good of a year. Favre has been very good the last three years. This year might have been the best out of the last three. Now that Rice has turned into a very good receiver and Harvin has a year under his belt, I could see Brett playing at a Pro Bowl level in 2010.
  18. Doesn't he have another year on his contract with Minnesota? Yep, for $13 million. I don't think any is guaranteed. Brett had a two-year deal with the Jets too.
  19. Well now all 11 Vikings can play in the Pro Bowl. A bunch of subs were going to have to play if Minnesota won.
  20. Cardinals. Warner retires and Favre goes there.
  21. This one comes down to Brett trying to do too much.
  22. Bad spot. This isn't a goal line play where you have to break the plane.
  23. Run when you think the defense thinks you will pass and pass when they think you will run.
  24. 2009 Favre throws a bad INT and the Vikings miss the Superbowl. 2008 Favre audibles and throws a bad INT with Thomas Jones running all over the place and the Jets miss the playoffs. 2007 Favre throws a bad INT and the Packers lose to the Giants who go on to the Super Bowl. Not so good in crunch time.
  25. OK that was stupid. That was the old Brett.
