    Who knows for sure. But I wonder if he made his mind between the time he was medically cleared to play and the playoffs that he wasn't going to get over the mental hurdle. But his mind is sure OK when it comes time for practice.

    Adrian Woj saying sources with direct knowledge of Rose's situation say he is out for playoffs. Sounds like Rose knew he would be out but wanted to keep everyone guessing, didn't think the pushback in the media would be this bad, and now is going to end the talk of him coming back by just saying it. Just another reason why you can't have friends and family influencing you to this degree. LeBron won a championship to help people get over the decision. Pippen sitting out for that one play had multiple championships and Jordan to deflect his poor judgment. Rose doesn't have that. I think his brand will take a hit. The thing that is most infuriating is that Rose is smoking everyone in practice. We know he can play.

    He deserved it after losing game 7 to a team that played Marquis Teague at the point and Daequan Cook at the 2 in non-garbage time minutes He deserved it years ago. He was a bad coach when Sprewell choked his ass. They played really well under him when he took over during the regular season. He had to go to the Easter Conference Finals to keep his job and they didn't have the talent to do that.

    If Hinrich and Deng somehow manage to get healthy and Wade is playing pretty banged up, do the Bulls have a shot?

    He's been excellent all season, really. Always thought he got a bad rap. Only because of his contract has he had a bad rap. I think his defense has been a lot better this year.

    The Bulls work their butts off, but I'm a little tired of the media saying there is a huge talent gap between them and the Nets. The gap, if there is one, is pretty minimal.

    Which is weird because they have had the most success lately. I can't figure out what effect a CSN reporter could rally have on their brand.

    LeBron 's friend gave him bad advice. Reggie Rose is too. Having friends as agents/managers isn 't usually a good mix.

    Really pissed at Rose right now. He is the reason the Bulls lose this series if they do. I never thought I'd accuse Rose of having a lack of mental fortitude.

    He's right. Rose is plenty healthy to play. If he can physically do it, the mental side should not be holding him back. This is really getting ridiculous. Dan Bernstein pointed out that Kerr is very connected the Bulls brass. I wonder if this is a way for them to publicly say without saying that they want Rose to play.

    I agree that is how 99% of league personnel would view the situation, because they are obsessive weirdos who really think the distraction would take away from their precious gameplanning. But I think it is a hollow excuse. But it's not just media hooplah. There was serious dissension in the locker room over Tebow. I'd prefer not to have that as a GM.

    How do you figure? Your past as a pro athlete isn't erased when you retire. If so, then Collins wouldn't be the first. Others have come out post-career as gay.

    Tebow is better than most 3rd string QBs in this league. Teams don't want him cause of the hooplah. They saw what happened with the Jets. Not worth it. But if I were the Bears I'd get him as a TE. It's probably the only way he stays in the league.

    Trestman just tweeted that he wants to meet Tebow in the same hotel room that he met Cutler in and see if any 'magic' can happen

    It'll be interesting to see if that prompts other athletes to come out. With this and the NFL story, it's clear more are on the way to coming out. =D> You mean Ayenbadejo saying that there's 4 that are going to come out? Yep, I think it is awesome. He backed off that story. He needs to shut up and let whoever wants to come out come out when they want to. He seems to be almost pressuring them.
