It worked pretty well last year Right, but the bullpen was mostly one guy. On paper, the bullpen seemed Royals-y immediately following the last two deadlines, only for guys to fall off. Such is the life for relievers, I suppose. -

The last two trade deadlines, I was pretty sure Theo had constructed a bullpen of doom. It hasn't quite worked out that way. -

I dont know about the RISP stuff, but the lack of power lately is directly tied to his pinky. While players are making adjustments in the offseason, our FO needs to as well and re-think how they utilize the damn 10 day DL for hand and wrists. -

Gleyber Torres could throw a ball with more velocity across the diamond with his recently Tommy John'd left arm than Russell can with his right.

Russell will be a nice light hitting second baseman for someone in a few years.

Again though, it's not like he was at 120, and now we're going to have to use an annoying amount of relievers in a comfortable win. I dont think that was all about Lester's stats.

Eh, I doubt it was just the win thing that Joe was looking at. You'd also prefer not to use 5 innings of relievers.

I remember that one day where, like, Schwarber, Javy, Soler, Russell, and Bryant all donged on the same day across various levels. That amount of excitement can only be topped by a World Series victory.

horsefeathers I'm tired of Heyward. The few hot streaks where he reached a .730 OPS a few times were fun, but my god. Also since he's a left handed Ryan Theriot, pitchers never walk him anymore either.
