    Listening to sports radio types talk about potential lineups earlier, I feel like a lot of people don't fully realize Heyward is a plus CFer, and possibly the best on the team aside from Martin.

    Just saw on BN that Quintana is throwing a sim game on Wed with Arrieta. That has to mean Lester gets one of the first two games. Hendricks-Lester-Q-Arrieta would be my guess at the rotation

    I'm sorry but that strike 2 call on Schwarber is a fireable offense, no matter the score or situation.

    Dusty's gotta wait to see how Scherzer's arm responds after he has him throw a 120 pitch simulated game on Wednesday.

    I spent most of this season being annoyed with this team, yet here they are with a pretty good shot at finishing with 93 horsefeathering wins. I enjoy how spoiled I've become by Theo's Cubs.

    I agree that Scherzer is the one matchup where we might not see the Russell/Javy middle infield to start. I kind of doubt Joe would trust La Stella's glove in the middle infield in a playoff game, or that he'd sit Contreras (especially since Turner is healthy), but I suppose both are possible. I was under the impression Scherzer's only weakness was dongs, so I'd also hate to see both Schwarber and Happ on the bench.

    Weaver is really tough on lefties which is probably why Schwarbs is out. That said, I'm not sure why Almora isn't one of the outfielders.

    Looks like all 4 series play Friday Oct. 6 as well. Go Twins in that wild card game. horsefeathers playoff day games.

    Rondon, Wilson, La Stella, and Rivera make 25 unless you're not including someone from my locks. Oops, you're right, I took 3 catchers but only accounted for one on my bench. So forget what I said about the last spot.

    I think it basically all comes down to Martin vs Lackey depending on how many pitchers they want. I've got La Stella, Rivera, Rondon, and Wilson as virtual locks. Martin is fast, but he's not a tremendous basestealer and Joe has been using Almora as the defensive replacement for Schwarber instead of him. I don't think he's someone you rush to put on the roster, unless you can fit everyone else who can actually hit.

    Also, lol at Counsel's argument. He completely lost his steam a few seconds in like he knew he was just grasping at straws. Like that ended really calm.

    That literally hasn't been a strike all game. He didn't let Lackey's bitching on pitches just off the plate change his mind. Don't start now.

    I can't imagine that was a called hit and run with Kneble's ability to miss bats and Vogt's inability to throw. Likely, Javy had the green light and Willson just swung at a pitch he liked.
