Wonder what the heck is going on with Cobb. Signing him and using some of the trade pieces to get Yelich might be my favorite route at the moment. Their ownership and FO might not give a damn about the perception, but getting Happ as the lead piece, as opposed to an all-prospect return, and being able to point out they got a guy who hit 24 dongs in his rookie season could maybe help them save face a little bit. I have some reservations about "locking" into that rotation for 3+ years, but trading for good starters without a ton of red flags is hard, man. There's no point for the Orioles to move Gausman for someone like Happ, and I'm sure Theo's talked to the Rays' FO a million times over the past year, and there's been very little Archer noise. I'm good with just signing a pitcher for the last rotation spot and having Theo take advantage of the Marlins' ineptitude.
