He was probably talking about when Jackson was good. He actually struck out less in AA than Bryant is now while carrying a wOBA in the .370s. The striking out of Bryant and Baez is some scary stuff. Bryant is at 27%. BJax hasn't been that low in years. And Bryant's offensive profile is going to help him make up for K'ing 30% of the time much more than Jackson's has for him (Bryant is carrying a .491 wOBA, and posted a .495 last year). You'd absolutely like him to K less, but it's not setting off any serious alarm bells, imo. Jackson's career shows why it's scary that Bryant is striking out more than he did his first time in AA. I do agree though, KB has the profile that hopefully can withstand a lot of K's. He's been dominant other than the strike outs.
