    Grabow was going to be a (n overpriced) free agent. They got a guy back in Ascanio who would probably be the 2nd best arm in our pen if he was here and healthy. Yeah, the Pirates suck right now, bold stance you're taking there. They suck because their payroll is anemic, and prior to Huntington they spent the previous 10 years with a horrendous minor league system. Considering this current Pirates franchise as the same as that was run by the drooling buffoons(one of which we hired) that ran it 5 years ago is ignorant

    I'd be pretty surprised. Lebron played like [expletive] tonight. Our defense was a part of that, but he's not going to have another game that bad the rest of this series. And matchup advantage or not Sheed won't be going 7-8 again. Basically Pierce needs to pull his head out of his ass(on the offensive end), somebody (Sheed, Davis, Allen, or Finley) needs to actually score off the bench, and Rondo needs to keep being the 2nd best player on the court.

    If we're calling up Castro either way (don't really agree with that) then getting a decent reliever for Baker or Tracy would be pretty decent return, I think. Especially considering we traded A-ball pitcher Al Albuquerque just last year to get Baker. I'd rather keep Fontenot and platoon him with Theriot, though. I can't see anybody giving up anything of value for either of them.

    How do people get paid to write stuff this ridiculously foolish? Writer acknowledges Starlin is 6 years younger but chooses to completely ignore that in every other facet. This is the kind of stuff I would expect to find over on the cubs.com message board. Pretty sure people don't get paid to write for bleacher report. And it shows.

    The Texas lawmakers wanted them to drag Houston and TCU with them as well(And the Big 12 was ready to oblige). Texas told them no. I don't see what has changed since the formation of the Big 12 that would require Texas to drag along little brother if they weren't going to when they approached the Big Ten in '94.

    Texas and ND. Texas comes with an aTm sidekick wherever it goes. Texas wasn't dragging them along when the SWC fell apart and they looked towards the Big Ten and Pac 10 ETA: And I'd rather have A&M than most of the other candidates.

    Ugh, the Lakers are a terrible matchup for the Jazz. Maybe if Okur was healthy they could put up a fight, but Gasol and Bynum are going to poo all over Milsap and whatever generic white guy gets cycled out there.
