If he stays hot until the trading deadline and we were pretty significantly out of it, I could actually see Hendry offering him up. I don't know what interest there would be, but it could be there if we footed some of the bill. I'm pretty sure I remember that Hendry was trying to deal him in the offseason, but there was no interest in him. I'm not sure there would be much interest in him even if the Cubs paid 75-80% of his contract because of the years involved. You're not sure there would be interest in Alfonso Soriano at 4Y/14M? -

Are you including Rondo as one of the three, because in what [expletive] universe is Ray Allen an all-star? And I'm not saying anything about them going forward wolf, so Rose's age vs. Rondo's doesn't mean a thing. If you have Rondo as a top 5 PG, I assume you have him above Rose at this moment?

Why are you pretending like it's me and Hollinger off on an island saying how good Rondo is. A decent minority of the Bulls fans on here think he's better than Rose, nearly every analyst thinks it, this isn't just blind homerism on my part.

For whatever reason, Rondo became afraid to shoot again. I don't quite know why. The only way you can think Rose is a better player than Rondo is if you think offense is the only thing that matters. And even then, it's a lot closer than you want to paint it.

NO Do you think there's a chance he could make Rose even 1/50th as good defensively as Ronda? That way Rose would only be half as good as Ronda overall. Dude, Rondo made Thibodeau, not the other way around. You know that. You could let Derrick play with a sword, outlaw calling any kind of violations on him and he'd still be worse than Rajon. Somebody's jealous of those MVP cheers Rondo was getting. I wonder how many more seasons it will take for Rose to win his first playoff series. (Rondo won a title by this point btw)

It's not really weird. He would have been about the sixth or seventh guard on the depth chart. But he doesn't seem that interested in basketball and has 1 year of eligibility left. What's the point? (Countdown to Ping saying Illinois is forcing him off the team to make room)

He was working out with UCF(Marcus's team) a few days ago. Still seems strange though. He's smart enough to get an academic scholarship at U of I and was a year away from graduating. I guess it doesn't matter where your degree is from when you're going to work for Nike for the rest of your life, but still.

Patton's been awful in Daytona and is 26. Maybe he was getting released anyway. I'm very glad we left him on the major league roster for 4 months last year. It really helped the ignorance of the front office shine through. -
