  1. And here I was ready to rant about Bruce's loyalty to DJ
  2. You mean mediocrely? BS... he had 8 straight starts of 6 IP or more to end the season. He deserves a shot. And he walked as many as he struck out Coleman's about 9th on my starting pitching depth chart.
  3. I don't know maybe. They can't really afford more than 1-2 losses the rest of the way, and they still have games at Illinois, at Minnesota and vs. Wisconsin, not to mention vs. Michigan State. Can't see them making it, but they have impressed me this year. I mean, I don't think they get it done either, but 9-9 in the Big Ten SHOULD be enough.
  4. Weber said Davis has been his most consistent player this year... I mean it's probably true, but holy [expletive] that's sad.
  5. Sullivan's a hobbit, not a centaur
  6. +1 Looking forward to seeing Garza in a Cubs uni, who's lost weight, who's sporting horrible facial hair, etc. Seeing Kerry Wood in a Cubs uniform again will be fun. I never got fully attached to the idea of him coming back to the Cubs, but I can't look at him without thinking 20K game. Holy [expletive], I totally forgot about Kerry.
  7. Wow, it's pretty damn rare to see a professional athlete say something like this.
  8. I don't know if you guys noticed, but Michigan is pretty firmly on the bubble now
  9. Maybe Michael shouldn't have been a degenerate gambler
  10. Hell of an effort though. Oh and what an [expletive] timeout that was with .5 seconds left.
  11. Wow, what a terrible intentional foul call
  12. You'll come around when the first pictures are posted on Monday.
  13. I wanted us to end it in Columbus, but we'll probably lose by 17 instead
  14. Different guy
  15. Oh it's Friday. Nevermind, I agree with him.
  16. if you give leonard the ball directly under the basket, he's pretty good. plus he's got good energy and is a decent rebounder, he needs some maturity, maturity that will come with playing. And he can run the floor, and seems to have better hands than Tis, last night notwithstanding
  17. Should add I was encouraged that Leonard was playing during some crucial time late in the game. (Tisdale did too, but Meyers wasn't anchored to the bench in the 2nd half like I expected
  18. I just really hope Weber learned his lesson that one game doesn't mean everything's changed. Like I said, I'd start DMac, but if he starts playing like McCamey of January sit his ass for 10 minutes. Leonard was pretty black holish on offense (just like Tisdale), but I was encouraged by his 0 fouls, as he's been a foul machine all year.
  19. So the question is who do you start next game? I guess I go McCamey Paul Cole Davis Leonard ? I'm not really sold on starting DMac again, and wouldn't object to Jereme being in there somewhere.
  20. The Sox have been gaining national attention?? I'm guessing Ozzie Guillen being a professional clown isn't quite the attention they're looking for. The White Sox will never own Chicago as long as the demographics break like they are now unless they go on a 3 or 4 pennant winning dynasty. You can't claim it's a Sox town when even White Sox fans care about the team 2nd to the Cubs
  21. 1. What has Ricketts done to make you think he wouldn't get in a bidding war for Pujols? 2. Cardinals fans are going to hate Pujols if he signs anywhere but St. Louis. They're used to being fellated by everyone about how great their town is and how great they are. If Albert dared to walk away from the heaven on earth that is St. Louis, they'll have the Pujols mows my lawn shirts ready to ship the next day.
  22. Minnesota plays Illinois and Wisconsin once apiece, they'll get in by "finishing strong" by playing the bottom half of the Big Ten. That and somebody has to get into the tournament.
