  1. Bet you wouldn't say that if he had a burnt orange or purple shirt under there haha Women's track must have financed this.
  2. When do they ever call fouls during a scrum in the final 10 seconds of the game? Granted we know you don't actually watch things before you comment on them, but it wasn't a scramble for a loose ball really. OSU controlled it, and Illinois went for the quick foul to extend the game, and they continued swallowing their whistles. It was bizarre.
  3. At least we accomplished something this year.
  4. Eh, Minnesota has hung around in every home game in BT play, with the exception of Northwester(?)
  5. I figured the Giants projected offense would've done David in.
  6. Youd' basically be paying the same amount of money for Lucroy that we would for Montero.
  7. You're just registering fake usernames like you did to Derwood.
  8. Hitting over pitching has never played itself out in the FA market. It's just really misleading to say Cespedes only got 3 years where Kennedy got 5. Like it would be better if Cespedes got 7/75. Even if he plays out all 3 years of this contract, he'll be 33 at his next opp and next year's OF market is Carlos Gomez, Colby Rasmus, and old Bautista and older Holliday I get what you're saying. I don't understand WHY average pitching is getting the 5 year deals, when a difference making hitter is taking that type of deal. In my mind, Cespedes should have gotten 5 or 6 at over 20 easily. Depressed run environment and all......Most teams obviously aren't in agreement though. I think it's easier to go into the year with a question mark in your lineup (out of 8 or 9 spots) compared to your rotation (out of 5) Add in how pitchers get injured at a much greater rate, and stability (Kennedy with all 6 major league seasons having 30+ starts) becomes a valuable asset(Keeping the Donn Roaches of the world the hell off your mound)
  9. He got more money over 3 than Kennedy did over 5. So? Hitting over pitching, to begin with. I guess there's a chance he turned down Detroit at the same money Upton got, for the opt out after 1.....But I'd have taken the Upton deal. 12. yes, the dh can only bat for the starting pitcher So if a SP [expletive] the bed in the first 2 innings you're further punishing the team by removing a good bat out of their lineup and further decreasing any chance of a comeback? I am intrigued but it needs to be flushed out more. Then you pinch hit, the same way you would now in an NL game. Not allowing Bryant and Rizzo to take all of our ABs decreases our chances of a comeback in a game too.
  13. Are there still Chicago bars with $1 bottles on Fridays? I know some of them do the $10 2 hour drink deals (or something like that) on Fridays. Though those used to literally be free(with a $10 upcharge for a 3rd hour or apps) Tuesday-Thursday there are a ton of them though.
  14. Soak up that yolk with your toast and bacon
  15. as the person who invented this idea* i demand you call it hybrid dh *maybe I really like this idea(if the ultimate endgame is DH) and don't think I've ever heard it before.
  16. I think he just left his 80s.
  17. 2nd-3rd-1st-home
  18. Whoops, missed the at home qualifier
  19. Iowa's been the best team in the B1G so far. They aren't a bad team. MSU lost to Wisconsin
  20. Any idea how much revenue those things produce in a given year? Something like ~2M/per if memory serves.
  21. Yes, they're very good.
  22. And to tell people they live in the Pacific Northwest.
  23. I hope he wore his jersey.
