I'm just saying...its the easiest part of the schedule right now. Doesn't mean we're doomed or anything moving forward. If we are mediocre against the bad teams are are playing now, we'll have to play better to make the playoffs. Except the Rockies are one of the best teams in the NL and the Brewers are with us and the Reds at the top of our mediocre division. -

But your closer needs to make them earn it and not put the lead-off hitter on with a walk. The leadoff walk you describe looked a lot more to me like a flyout. He needs to make them earn it and not walk anyone.

I have to think the double switch was done with the intention of letting Marshall pitch more. If Marshall doesn't start and finish the 8th inning, Quade is a moron. I'm assuming if we get the lead to Jason Bartlett that Marmol will come in for the 1+ save. Nevermind, that might've been impossible

But why did this devolve into a discussion solely on jump shooting? The fact that Rondo can run layup drills on teams is a point in his favor, not to his detriment. If he can be an efficient scorer/distributor without being a good jump shooter, who cares?

His 57% free throw percentage from this year says otherwise. He doesn't get to practice 45 times per game like some people.
