  1. Of course, you did just pull all those #s out of your ass. (Except the Forbes valuation) You believe that Oakland will become the 6th most valuable franchise in baseball behind only 4 teams from the biggest markets in baseball and a team that owns all of New England??? You think a purchase of a 4% share of the franchise wouldn't take into account any progress made on the stadium and/or relocation?
  2. Worst of all, just look at him. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d9/NED_COLLETTI.jpg/200px-NED_COLLETTI.jpg
  3. At least Boers and Bernstein won't have to come up with any ideas for their show tomorrow.
  4. Haha, great example guys show Barney as he holds the glove in his opposite hand too.
  5. .302/.406/.617 heading into tonight. Below his career #s
  6. Beane is an OWNER. The compensation involved in getting him out of that investment (and it's future potential growth) would be staggering. He's a 4% owner of one of the least valuable teams in MLB. "Getting him out of that investment" involves selling his share. The potential growth is the only reason extra compensation would be necessary and it certainly wouldn't be staggering.
  7. He signed Juan Pierre to a 5 year contract on purpose.
  8. Couldn't agree more with this. The top 4 plus Cherington would be the perfect list. Or Ned Colleti if we could get him back. I love that Ricketts model for the team is after the Red Sox. I personally think that Theo Epstein in the best GM in baseball. I really want an experienced guy, but I wouldn't be upset with Kahn or Cherington. You had me until Ned Coletti, who I don't even want using the troughs. I'd support him cleaning the troughs. With his tongue.
  9. Who cares about Ricketts's list, all that matters is who Kenney wants.
  10. Bruce appears to not be a fan of Kenney either. On whether Hendry reported to Kenney or Ricketts: Didn't Ricketts say as much that maybe things were different in the past but under him the GM reports to him. Under Zell ownership I imagine Zell didn't give a [expletive] about anything on the field so Kenney acted as the bag man.
  11. So, do you consider Paul Sullivan a complete buffoon as well? He also had some negative comments on Kenney. Is that a serious question?
  12. It says Andrew Friedman is disgusted that Crane Kenney is still breathing.
  13. Again, Nowak, I need to ask, what your specific issue with Kenney is.
  14. I can't wait to see the image of Crane Kenney holding up the World Series trophy. Hopefully Cowley chokes on his own vomit at the site.
  15. Sorry, there was this one example of Kenney mad with power: That dastardly Kenney told Hendry he couldn't balloon the payroll even higher because ownership wouldn't allow it!!
  16. I think the feeling between Hendry and Kenney was mutual. Unless you think Hendry is a liar. I don't doubt it. That doesn't have anything to do with the "he did all these bad things but I'm not going to tell you any of them" articles.
  17. Apparently Z signed an 8 year contract? No it really wasn't. Like how he failed in Florida in 2007? Also, nice hat you doofus.
  18. Ping mentioned earlier they're mostly on 1 or 2 year deals. I'd imagine most would be let out of contracts if offered.
  19. I don't think it's a stretch to say we have the absolute worst media of anywhere in the country. Williston, ND
  20. It's pretty [expletive] transparent that Hendry didn't like Kenney, and now the worthless [expletive] Chicago media starts the whisper campaign to absolve Hendry of blame.
  21. Joe Cowley is a [expletive] white sox beat writer, and a bad one at that.
  22. Wilson was a starter throughout the minors.
  23. The Rangers were bankrupt around this time last summer. Now it's barely a memory. They had a quick transfer of ownership. McCourt has shown no signs of being ok with that.
  24. No, they're the exact same level of prospect.
