  1. When Sosa stopped being one of the best players in baseball, people turned on him. Even when Sosa was becoming a HOFer, there were the goofs out there who said he just hit meaningless HRs.
  2. Yeah south siders aren't racist.
  3. Yeah, that's not going to happen. But who knows what might shake down if the super conferences come to fruition. I like that Swarbrick has been keeping tight with Texas. There are worse allies to have in cfb. Come to think of it, it's probably kind of hard for ND to pass up the chance to play Baylor, KU, ISU, and KSU in football on an annual basis. I think ND is coming. Nobody said anything about ND joining the Big Sky.
  4. Apparently he didn't learn his lesson. Geo had to call timeout before a pitch during Wednesday's game in the 3rd inning, as Castro was out of position(by about 40 feet) over talking to ARAM. He ran back to a normal position. Not surprised the enablers were quiet about it. Even ARAM was mute. When our new GM, new mgr. and new coaching staff takes over, I'm sure this will change. Hopefully we get rid of all our good players.
  5. Done.
  6. Yeah, Dogfish should be the mass consumed beer at Cubs games.
  7. First they came for higher ticket prices, But I did not speak up for I could buy from scalpers. Then they came for the Budweiser house, But I did not speak up for I do not drink swill. Then they came for the troughs, But I did not speak up for my bladder is large. Now they've come for the Old Style
  8. He's just mad he's misrepresnting himself as a Latino.
  9. Who do you gotta bang to get tickets to this game?
  10. Wasn't Steve Phillips the same? I recall stories that he pissed off a lot of teams by putting in claims for anyone & everyone That may be the case. Problem is both have written articles about how the process works/who might get claimed in the past few years, so it's hard to track down a story about them claiming everybody. Best I could find was an article from '99 saying I'm pretty sure Bowden was also the guy who'd call up GMs at 3 AM with [expletive] insane trade proposals.
  11. You guys would love Jim Bowden. He used to claim like 150 guys per season.
  12. Mine isn't a keeper league and we had 5 QBs taken in the first 14 picks, it was madness. Vick went 5 and Rodgers went 6 so people started freaking out.
  13. And people are wondering why Mike Flanagan killed himself... That story was really [expletive] depressing.
  14. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/Flex/TE/D-ST/K - 12 team no PPR Roethlisberger Stafford Peterson Blount Ingram D. Carter Ringer C. Johnson Welker Floyd Sims-Walker Bess Murphy Davis Cooley No Kicker yet Steelers
  15. Nevermind, just saw you start 2 QBs. You guys start a lot of players. I'm a little sketchy on both your WR units, but I think it's because there are about 6 WRs I actually like this year. Having Brees and Vick is pretty crazy.
  16. I got the sense he was a lot more Crane Kenney than Andy Macphail. Delivered the money from the Trib and gave the directives to spend it.
  17. The same way John McDonough became team president(!). These guys know how to sell themselves. But Team President the way McDonough was team president was a different situation. He wasn't involved in the on-field product.
  18. And he left the Cubs to be a PR guy in the Giants organization. How this incompetent boob ever climbed the ranks of baseball management is beyond me.
  19. Because he speaks the same language as them: Drooling buffoon. Also he was a [expletive] PR guy when he worked for the Cubs, of course they love him, his job was to slob their knobs.
  20. Because he speaks the same language as them: Drooling buffoon.
  21. So would Tom Rickett's house.
  22. Are you sure it's not pretty average? Yes.
  23. That and women's basketball. You see there's little thing called Title IX. Prime Minister Pelosi should be able to explain further.
  24. No, you have to be in the organization (not the 40 man) by September 1st. Even as an injury replacement.
