  1. Clearly I said nothing of the sort. He does deserve some blame though. Jump balls have a 0% success rate when your WR doesn't actually jump Hadn't even seen your post when I originally posted. Was reacting to Rivers's histrionics.
  2. You threw a 50 yard jump ball into double coverage with 3:30 in the game and it's your WR's fault? And yeah, Jackson's kind of a dog.
  3. Well according to Paul Posluszny (2003-2006) this morning he said Sandusky was still routinely on campus during his career. And of course those were the 4 years following the 2002 allegations. Could have sworn I had read that Sandusky was still using PSU's facilities up until about 2 weeks ago. yeah he was using the weight room or something. Its a huge campus, probably a few weight rooms. I guess what I really wonder is when the last time JoePa saw/talked to Sandusky. Is it plausible that he didnt realize Sandusky was on campus? No.
  4. Why would Poszluzny know Sandusky was a serial rapist?
  5. Throw in likely arb awards and you're at 62M for 11 players, leaving them with a lot less cash than us to spend.
  6. You don't get to be an Albert Pujols level athlete and lose your fire because you won a couple of titles.
  7. If Pos knows something that would vindicate Paterno, why wouldn't he say it? He's not even alluding to it. Him and the other "JoePa deserved better" crowd keep giving out platitudes about how he is Penn State and HOW DARE YOU FIRE HIM OVER THE PHONE, and all that he's done for the school, and the community etc. If there's more to the story, then say it, if there's not, then they're just bowing at the feet of god-king Paterno, and crossing your fingers that some deus ex machina will come along leaving him pure and innocent in the end.
  8. Maybe @thekapman heard Ricketts allude to people wanting Pujols multiple times this season during games.
  9. NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SAMPLE SIZE
  10. !daerht rehto Now Dave Kaplan hates you.
  11. This guy http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/cubs-pujols-jersey.jpg also part of Crane's inner circle.
  12. Because a doofus like Kaplan having a Pujols jersey is any sort of evidence that he was clued in the Cubs were going to sign him.
  13. He was tipped off that the Cubs were going to fire Jim Hendry replace him with Theo Epstein/Jed Hoyer and they would decide to pursue Pujols?
  14. Andre Dawson? from another mother.
  15. But I thought they wanted to build from within? [expletive] Jim Hendry all over again.
  16. what about against the 49ers in 06 when we had like a 50-0 lead at halftime? Orange jersey history: 2004: Lost @ Dallas 2005: Won vs. San Francisco 2006: Won vs. San Francisco 2007: Lost vs. Detroit 2008: Won vs. Minnesota 2009: Won vs. Cleveland 2011: Lost vs. Green Bay 2011: ?? vs. Detroit 4-3 lifetime. If you take out the 2004 game which wasn't the same jersey, they are 4-2 Yeah, let's make sure to be scientific and get rid of the year the jersey was a different style.
  17. ANYONE who knew about this and didn't say a word are complicit.
  18. I do find it quite fitting that the thread about a pedophile and the numerous people who failed to expose his horrible acts is titled "Joe Paterno" Should I change it to "Truffle defends Joe Paterno?" How about Truffle defends man complicit in child molestation?
  19. I hated the Cuba jerseys
  20. I'm not telling you Tex's deal sucks. I'm saying it's an albatross, never coming back contract under your dumbass definition.
  21. I want you to say right now that Fielder's and Pujols's contracts will turn out worse than Teixiera's
  22. Howard has less margin for error going forward because he needs to keep a respectable BABIP & HR/FB rate in order to keep his BA above abysmal. His BA needs to stay above abysmal in order for him to have a good OBP and SLG.
  23. You realize this does not support the argument for signing Fielder, right? Sure it does. Your ideal, perfect world scenario is going to be a terrible contract under your narrow-minded definition. In retrospect you wouldn't sign him and would sign Jay Gibbons to play 1B, and your team would be terrible. If I think Teix is a better bet to age well than Fielder, and Teix's contract turns out to be a mistake, does that make me more willing to sign Fielder, or less willing to sign Fielder? It makes you completely ignorant of what it takes to sign a top-flight talent.
  24. I don't remember if I signed up in '03 or '04 but I'm at 27996...so yeah.
