  1. [expletive], ssr can't even get a hold of me on his frequent trips to nashville...[expletive] that guy, never again do i let him sit next to me at the never to happen again nsbb meetup game. I miss you wexy.
  2. Did it happen as a result of Hulls shoving him?
  3. Really? I hate Miller Lite
  4. You're really trying to get a lot of mileage out of a couple Jack and Cokes
  5. My email came at 10:28, so it may just be delayed.
  6. Well that's silly.
  7. Uhh.... I was at 15003 (and still am)...wtf It still shows me at 19006, check your email you signed up with.
  8. Hmmm, I was at 19000ish, I think. ETA: And there's the email.
  9. He's played 10 games, I can't imagine him getting a medical. The rule changed, a player can play in a maximum of 30% of a team's games now. The way the math works he had to be shut down before last night's game to be eligibile. Plus he only played 70 some minutes. That's no guarantee, but it seems likely. You better hope Purdue makes a run in the BTT or plays its way into the NIT then. They only have 31 regular season games. They'd need 34 in order to get below the 30% threshold. I count 31 regular season games and 1 BTT game. 32 * .3 = 9.6 games and they round up. Why would they round up? 10 games is more than 30% of 32
  10. So say things work out for the best and we can trade half of our best prospects for Price: Who is our #3 starter if we trade Garza and don't sign Jackson? Vizcaino? Wood? Loux?

  12. Seems like we're putting all our eggs in one basket if we don't sign Jackson. -Better hope nobody can upstage our offers on these 2. -Better hope Seattle doesn't have an Orioles year in them leaving them to keep or extend Hernandez. -Better hope the Rays don't decide to deal off one of their other lesser pitchers.
  13. You'd have to get another PG then right? Or would they just try to make do with Hinrich and Teague? Playing 4 on 5 would be better than Robinson as the PG
  14. They just don't care about the regular season. Last season the Celtics were under .500 at the halfway point of the season. This year, they're at .500 less than 30% in. This is like the 4th consecutive year Sponge has failed at this.
  15. Probably because Nate Robinson is terrible.
  16. If the Angels get anything of value for Wells, and we can't move Soriano that will suck. per ABTY, the Angels are willing to eat a lot more of Wells' contract and they're also willing to take back a bad contract for a nice return. Unless the bad contract they're taking in return is worse than Wells, there's no reason they should expect anything else in return.
  17. He's played 10 games, I can't imagine him getting a medical.
  18. Want. Yeah, trading for an actual good Tigers pitcher would be much preferrable.
  19. if your biggest issue at the end of the season is whether your coach gets screwed out of a stupid coach of the year award, i'd say things went pretty well. of course, not surprising that an illini fan is preemptively whining about something like that. He's a Mizzou fan
  20. Yes, it sucks to have 22 year olds that put up a .859 OPS in AAA. If that was an accomplishment it would be a meaningful statement. But an 859 in the PCL is not an accomplishment, especially by a guy who can't hack 3B. It's not like we're comparing him to people who have racked up accomplishments at this point. His competition in this run-off is a guy whose accomplishments are: 1) 11 innings in short-season ball 2) Being picked at No. 43 overall (a spot in the draft order that has produced just three players in 47 years with a career bWAR of 5 or higher.) Here is the full list of players who were in the PCL at 22 or younger who posted an .800 OPS or better last season (min. 143 ABs because that's what BR has it set at for some reason): Wil Myers Anthony Rizzo Josh Vitters everybody knows AAA is not stacked with prospects. The age doesn't really matter as much as seeing a 21 year old do something interesting in AA. Vitters has done very little in his 6 seasons of professional ball. He looks like garbage at first and then looks to hold his own. Then people give him a boost for being young while holding his own. I'm not interested in prospects who eventually learn to hold their own in the minor leagues. Well there were 4 21 year olds with better AA OPSes than Vitters in '11. Nobody's saying he's an elite prospect, we're saying he's better than a guy with arm troubles who's thrown 11 professional innings.
  21. Even if that wasn't the case, a run-off can still make sense.
  22. Unfortunate for that team that they didn't win 12-11 when he hit the home runs, and 2-1 when he didn't
  23. It ranks a gentleman's sixth in Sagarin's ratings. The most interesting thing that will happen is if Self wins Coach of the Year over Groce. Can we not talk about this now.
  24. Vitters is less than 2 years older than Johnson, and Johnson has thrown 11 professional innings.
