  1. Bama looks like they'll get the ball back with about a minute to go.
  2. Am I correct that Bama was just stuffed at the 17 and Monroe has the ball?
  3. Yeah, as derwood said, People have said that for 20 years, and it's still here, and still getting stronger. It's here to stay. Getting stronger?
  4. Now the Cubs make him feel so...much like punching people in the face.
  5. Why the hell did Ole Miss pull Shaeffer?
  6. Journalism in Atlanta
  7. Notre Dame's receivers are terrible.
  8. The Fighting yoy yoys convert on 3rd and 29. SEC.
  9. It's money. The Big East doesn't want to watch the SEC get an extra 9 million while they just get their 1 team share. Plus the BCS rules are pretty much presupposes a good Notre Dame team. In addition to assuming a good Notre Dame team, the new rules are made to push through a non BCS conference school as well. In the ideal scenario in their heads, you've only 2 at larges from BCS conferences.
  10. It's not that delusional. A Hawaii loss is the big obstacle now. There's other obstacles besides that. First, Illinois has to climb 5 spots to even be considered. Even if they do climb the 5 spots, how are they going to get picked over the other teams in the top 14? There are a lot of traditional national powerhouses up there. I don't see any way that Illinois gets picked over teams such as USC, Florida, Texas, WV (if they lose to UConn), LSU (if they lose to Georgia in the SEC title game), or the 2 losers of the Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma triad. There's simply no way that Illinois even gets close to making a BCS game unless tons of teams start losing in their last game. As a Notre Dame guy you should know the 2 teams max per conference rule. That's 2 teams from the SEC, Pac 10, and Big 12. Ohio St., West Virginia, and whatever piece of crap team the ACC sends. That leaves 1 spot open with the teams in the mix being Hawaii, Boise St., and the 2nd teams from the Big 10, Big East, and ACC. In the ACC you have Clemson playing BC tonight to see who wins their division, and Virginia playing VA Tech to see who wins that division. The winners of those games play each other to see who wins the ACC. The loser of the championship would probably slot in behind Illinois to be chosen. In the Big East you have West Virginia playing UConn for the title next week. UConn sucks. In the Big Ten you have Illinois. Hawaii plays Boise next week. If Hawaii wins, they're in. If Boise wins they have a chance, though they might have trouble cracking the top 16. With a Hawaii loss it'll probably come down to Boise vs. Illinois(If Boise qualifies). There's an outside chance of the loser of the ACC title game, but I really doubt it. It would definitely have to be BC or VA Tech. Nobody cares about seeing Virginia or Clemson in a BCS game. One added note of importance, if Florida gets selected for a BCS game, and Hawaii loses, I see no way it's not Illinois. I have a hard time Illinois not going with a Hawaii loss anyway, but there's no way they pass on Zook/Florida. EDIT: There's pretty much no way Illinois finishes outside of the top 14.
  11. Just 1 game yadda yadda Tim Tebow yadda yadda SEC yadda yadda luck. Edit: Unless Florida wins.
  12. It's not that delusional. A Hawaii loss is the big obstacle now.
  13. Where would we play him? The gaping hole at 2B we've been trying to fill all offseason.
  14. So then, Illinois was all hey BCS what's up. And BCS was all ehhh I dunno. And then Illinois was like BAM And BCS was all yes sir.
  15. Illinois scored on a Mendenhall rush, 2 Juice rushes(1 and 8ish yards) and a GREAT catch by Cumberland for a 40ish yard TD.
  16. Scott Boras will be fine. If you're a stud in the amateur draft and don't hire Boras you're a dope. The agent works for you, and you have the final say on your decisions, but it's much easier to throw the evil lawyer under the bus.
  17. We don't even have five shortstops. The only one who can really play there right now is Cedeno... Matsui would need to be healthy to play there. You didn't like the Mike Fontenot experience out there? I liked this offseason a lot better when Hendry said they wouldn't really be looking at free agency, but would explore trades.
  18. If someone insulted my ex-wife with vile statments, I'd ... never mind. be someone.
  19. Yeah but they're both confederate flags and they're yelling about whose sister is hotter. Cause ya know, the south.
  20. 1/8?? Cheapass. (not believing it wasn't you that put it in.)
  21. Does any team out there have a need for 5 shortstops?
  22. ronny cedeno? He's a CF. This trade is the opposite of truth btw.
  23. Yeah it's really cool that Arizona used up Upton's rookie eligibility so that I can't keep him for free in my fantasy league anymore.
  24. But it wouldn't be a 3-way tie. OSU would have 2 losses, Illinois and Michigan only 1. That's wrong, but it does make me realize Andy's error. If UM wins they have 1 Big 10 loss(Wisky), whiles OSU(UI, UM) and UI (UM, Iowa) have 2 losses. Michigan wins, they win the Big 10. Ohio St. has to win to keep our BCS hopes alive as it's unlikely OSU falls out(and stays out) of the top 14 with a loss. And there's no way a bowl takes us over OSU.
