  1. I think Newark is in New Jersey. Just a guess though. Southsiders are the New Yorkers of Chicago. =D> =D>
  2. And the players you listed were either not free agents, worse, or some of them both. We would've been better off signing Sidney Ponson?? I'm not following here.
  3. I'm not a big Hendry fan, in fact I'd probably go all Sean Marshall on his cats if given the chance, but this statement is not fair. Hendry has been flogged over and over and over and over again about not having a backup plan for Wood and Prior's injuries. The fact that he had one in there in Maddux is supposed to be a strike against him? Signing an above average starter for 8M per is a strike against him? There's A LOT to bring out against Hendry, the Maddux signing is not one of those things.
  4. Harbaugh's getting roasted by the announcers here over this, considering he's a former QB, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt on this, and that they found out there was no concussion or anything, but still this looks bad.
  5. The Stanford QB had his helmet taken away probably because of a concussion. Now he's back in the game. Harbaugh may be costing this kid a lot to try and win the UM job.
  6. FSU has kicked 2 FGs from inside the 5, and a 60 yarder.
  7. Everybody, be surprised that West Virginia is up by 147 points over UConn.
  8. Do they play defense in the SEC? They look like Notre Dame's pass defense out there.
  9. Yeah that's a really dumb enforcement of the rules.
  10. Let that be a lesson to you for the future. If your team throws an INT to end your possession on OT, just tackle him by the facemask, kick him in the balls, shoot him in the face, doesn't matter, OT is over.
  11. Vandy was called a good team here last week after some people ripped Tennesee for nearly losing to them. Now that Tennesee is once again trying to lose to an average team and Vandy is losing to Wake, is Vandy still good?
  12. The last time Reds fans were ecstatic that they finally made a big splash in the FA market, and the team was showing a commitment to winning and plugging their most glaring holes they signed Eric Milton to a 3 year deal. I think penciling Burton is as a lockdown reliever is a little risky after checking out his minor league #s.
  13. If the Cubs had signed him for that deal, this board would have melted down with the people who hated the deal. Many people on this board don't like committing a decent percentage of the payroll to the bullpen to the first place. They also don't like multi-year deals for relievers. They also don't like signing guys in their 30's to long-term contracts. Finally, many think the position of closer is overrated to begin with. Cordero fits under all of the above, and while he'll likely be pretty productive he's not productive enough to be that big of a percentage of the Reds overall payroll. What? You are talking about a team that was 29th in baseball in blown saves last year. With only 6 of them from the closer. Perhaps you should've spent less on a setup man and gotten the same value instead of pushing Weathers back into higher leverage spots where he'll undoubtedly inflict more damage.
  14. He went to the world series 2 years ago. Hendry's not big on long term memory.
  15. NY sportswriters are the southerners of the north.
  16. Not if Va Tech and Washington get off their asses and do what's right.
  17. Yeah but those teams only have 9 losses cause of the SEC!!! Cause Arkansas does have a win over South Carolina you know.(And a loss to Alabama who even Meph finally admitted was bad)
  18. ISU is projected to do better in the MVC, but I believe the MVC is projected to be down with Wichita and somebody else who's escaping me taking a pretty big hit this year. A 13 point win can win a lot of things depending on how it got to 13 in the end.
  19. Without reading the thread from earlier today. HAHAHAHHAHAA
  20. A win in overtime against a horrible team is good for this team.
  21. Oh and the right answer is anyone who has anything to do with the SEC in any capacity.
  22. Why? Because Weis acted like a classless child preseason with his recruiting sour grapes and allegations and now Illinois fan is reveling in ND's utter crapness? That's just karma, son. I'm pretty sure you're kidding, but stealing Arrelious Benn from us has very little to do with it, they just talk waaaay too much. For instance, this ludicrous Illinois/Florida debate. I understand their point that Florida strictly on paper isn't that much better than Illinois but they would destroy the Illini in a game, and everyone seems to think Juice, who has now had one good passing game this season, would shred the UF defense. Yeah, and you thought Ball St. should've beat Illinois. So yeah.
  23. Not enough DUIs, dirty play, and non-graduation is KSU's problem?
  24. Sounds like we need somebody to cut out Pie's legs in case he has a bad 3 weeks.
  25. Another fine addition to the discourse, Mr. Rozner. It's not 2002 anymore. Aramis isn't lazy. I'd probably half ass it on a broken ankle too.
