  1. Is it possible to win the Cy Young without winning any games?
  2. As long as Dempster slapped that lame a** look of his face as he was leaving the game, I would be fine.
  3. When the bases are loaded and you are up 1 and the words "in play, runs" come up. That's scary. Feel bad for Demp, nice work by Dolis, could've switched the DP and the K though! :?
  4. Any chance Lynn intentionally walks DeJesus and Matheny puts in another pitcher?
  5. So if we only win the last game of every series what will our record be?
  6. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN200108260.shtml Sosa 50th and 51st Bombs and Juan Cruz 1st career win!
  7. Sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean you had to be at the game. I meant live as it was happening, not a replay or anything. I should have posed it differently.
  8. Seeing Darwin Barney hit a bomb the other night saved me. I didn't see either of Barney's homers last season live. I was nervous I might never see one live. There are reasons people can't watch ever game work, school, etc. So you can't watch every moment of the season. So there are going to be moments you miss. I was wonder if there was a player that you haven't seen hit a homer in a cubs uniform. This question dates back to when I was 8 and I saw Rey Sanchez reach the baskets at Wrigley. Only time I saw him go deep live. Fast forward to the mid 2000s the player I never saw hit one was Paul Bako. Damn Paul Bako. The closest I came was when I left for work one night and two minutes after I leave Pat Hughes calls out the Bako homer. I never got that close again! Silly question I know. Also try to leave this to guys who were here at least 2 years. Not a Craig Monroe or something like that.
  9. Don't worry we still got Clevenger to pinch hit when we rally.
  10. Homers by Stewart and Soriano tonight! Also a win!
  11. Really? His first two ABs were swinging bunts fielded by the catcher that should have resulted in a combined three outs. His third was a K. How should it have been 3 outs. Soriano beat the throw at 2nd regardless of the wild throw and a double play wasn't being turned on that play. So the only play was at first. So i don't see how it could've resulted in a combined 3 outs in the first two at bats.
  12. Angels get Pujols Tigers get Prince we get Jeff Baker!
