    CTL: Nick Cafardo was on. Kaplan says he's hearing it's down to medicals. Cafardo says he hasn't heard that. Cafardo says he feels Theo was ready to leave a few years ago, wanted a new challenge. Cafardo says when Hoyer was in Boston he helped Epstein by negotiating a lot of the contracts. Kaplan asked him when he thinks the deal will be done, Cafardo says tomorrow, but he didn't sound sure. Boston is afraid of looking bad and wants to get grood compensation. End of conversation Kaplan and the Chicago panelist talked about how Chicago has all the leverage and sad the Cubs shouldn't part with anyone they don't want to.

    Are you sure that's what he said? Any chance you are exaggerating a bit, because that is idiotic and not something I would assume Gammons would say. It's about the Red Sox. Gammons fanboyism knows no bounds when it comes to them and his pal Larry. This and the fact that Gammons was always a clown and then got a respite for having a stroke or something. I remember Gammons as one of the first journalists I LOLed at consistently 10-15 years ago. Gammons was always way off when it came to talking about imminent trades that never materialized, but he was always up on things like prospects and their worth long before anybody else in mainstream baseball media acknowledged that prospects had value. He's clearly a Red Sox homer in that he would focus on them and probably sympathize with their side of a situation, but him making such asinine statements as this indicates his brain suffered some sort of damage, or he just pores on the idiotic homer schtick more when talking to local Boston radio. Like when he sad the Cubs were getting Mike Lowell all 2003 only for us to get Aramis.

    I forgot to add that the reporter from Boston on CTL earlier claimed the compensation talks went extremely poor. I'm guessing Boston is posturing, they have no leverage.

    What guy from Boston? Ummmm can't remember. I'll see if they say hs name again at the end of the show. He was just a reporter from a Boston news station though. He just trashed all of Theo pick-ups, but called him a good guy.
