    In 2006 my buddy and I were trying to get autographs before a game. We were by the Cubs bullpen. Marmol walks by and these drunk guys start yelling "Guzman!" Marmol says, "What's my name?" I say, "Carlos Marmol." Marmol comes over and signs me and my friend's baseballs. Lucky for us we nabbed Les Walrond's autograph on the same ball making it priceless.

    In my opinion it is not stupid at all. It will be fun. A 3 game series can still be quite flukey. It can be. I'm sure it would be fun either way. The ratings would probably be better for 1 game too and I'm sure they want to make sure everybody sees both the AL and NL game, which would be a little complicated with my idea.

    What's the point of such a convoluted scenario? The 1 game playoff is simple, quick, and exciting. And when 5-game series are considered by most to be too short, a 3-game series doesn't really add anything to the "fair" barometer. The point is to force all teams to play for their division titles, and reward those titles. I don't like that wild card 1 has to play wild card 2 in a 1 game playoff if they already beat them in the standings. At least make it a series. That rewards the division winners to by making the wild cards work harder, heck you can even start round 2 on day 3. IMO, a 1 game playoff is stupid unless teams are tied. I understand that wild card 2 may be a better team and but played in a harder division so the y may deserve a shot, but at least make that shot a series not one flukey game.

    One game playoff? Make it a best of 3! Better team record gets to chose whether it's: Day 1: Double Header at Home Day 2: One Game on Road or Day 1: One Game on Road Day 2: Double Header at Home Day 3 would be break. Day 4 2nd round starts. Option 1 you can end it on day one but have to play game 3 on road. Option 2 you have to play away first but get last 2 at home.

    Well the 49ers need a win for a first round bye so will they rest people?? I would doubt it until it's late and the game is decided. I've got Roddy White so hopefully Green Bay wins and gives Atlanta something to play for!!

    The MLB is soo dumb. If they made a dvd for each playoff season 84, 89, 98, 03, 07, and 08 picked the top 5 games of those seasons put some extras on there(big plays, clinching celebrations, etc.) they would have me and many others buying those dvds. Don't get why they don't.

    I think Theo has decided to communicate with the Chicago sports media strictly in the language of baseball analogies. This is all but proof that they are talking down to the media and laughing about it later. I couldn't be happier about that. As long as its not fishing analogies, I am ok. We got a bite, just got to reel it in!
