The residents do have Tunney's ear but the businesses and rooftop owners have his pocketbook. If given the choice Tunney will side with the rooftop owners every time. Rooftop owners are not residents. Most are owned by out of town corporations and LLC's that were started when the night games were first introduced in 1988. But the night game limitations are due to the residents, not the rooftop owners. I would think the rooftop owners would want more night games as it provides access to more customers and more money in their pockets.

He chose to leave. Some say he just wanted to go to AZ, others have said he wanted more money from the Cubs. Either way, this couldn't have worked out better. Deshaies is an upgrade. I'm sure most here don't like The Boers and Bernstein show on the Score, but while listening to them yesterday, Bernstein mentioned that his Cubs guy indicated the reason that Brenly isn't coming back is b/c the Cubs wanted to go in a different direction and bring in a guy that doesn't over-the-top criticize the Cubs players like Brenly did at times. Regardless, Deshaies seems like a great hire and I'm looking forward to watching next year!

benches cleared Who started it? Not exactly sure as I didn't watch the game (who has?) and only saw highlights. But, from what I saw, Clevenger exchanged his glove during the middle of the Nationals' bottom half of the inning and their third base coach, Bo Porter walked over to the Cubs' dugout and had some choice words for Cubs bench coach Jamie Quirk and the benches cleared. Quirk got tossed but Porter was allowed to remain in the game. Not sure if it was the next inning or not, but the Cubs pitcher threw at Bryce Harper and the benches cleared again.
