  1. Considering he missed pretty much all of ST, I would they would give him as many at bats as possible to make sure he is both ready and healthy.
  2. What a bunch of crap, everyone should know the rooftop owners only care about themselves. I hope it pours all night and postpones tonight's game: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/04/10/rooftop-owners-to-host-wrigleyville-neighbors-appreciation-night/ If any NSBB member lives in the Wrigleyville area, here's your chance to tell the rooftop owners what you think of them.
  3. Who was the one year wonder about 10 years ago and went to the Braves and sucked?
  4. He's bad, but he's not even close to Hawk bad There's nothing better than listening to Hawk when bad things happen to the Sox...when crickets aren't chirping
  5. Nice to see we're not the only team with closer issues
  6. Let's see how the Cubs screw this up...
  7. Is Peralta any good? I thought he was rated top 100 prospects at one point.
  8. I think it's about time for Ricketts to hire some mafia types to help the rooftop owners "come to their senses".
  9. I [expletive] hate those rooftop leaches
  10. I'm guessing they don't need to. IIRC, the wording was such that after a certain number of years (which has passed) the contract didn't offer much protection of the rooftop views. I thought the contract was more about what the rooftop owners would pay the Cubs for stealing their product and less about what the Cubs can and cannot do regarding blocking the rooftop views. So, maybe Ricketts has just been gentlemanly and neighborly with the rooftop owners this whole time including this deal where the views would only be "minimally blocked" by the new signage?
  11. I'm going to venture out to say that this bad outing wasn't enough for Marmol to lose the closer's role. They should give him a chance to keep his job, if only in hopes he can pitch like the 2nd half of last year and be able to get something of value for him on the trade market in what will likely be another losing season.
  12. I'd have Fujikawa warmed up just in case.
  13. Do we know who's pitching today? Who was the lefty in both Jackson vids?
  14. I thought I heard somewhere that the Cubs didn't like Brenly's criticism of the players?
