Uhh.... .265/.285/.377. Not picking on you, because I have recently read multiple articles stating, that Neifi has been "great" for us this year. I'm confused how the above line is anything more than atrocious, especially for a team in the wild-card hunt. You would think that teams in our position would be the most likely to try and ride the hot hand, and not stick to guys like Perez. He's a shortstop. He's our backup shortstop. He has a lot of rbis and a pretty fair BA for a SS - he's not Babe Ruth however. and yet dusty wants to continue to play him over nomar when he returns. Yeah right. You're taking him too literally. I give Dusty a lot of credit for a quote like that: He knows he's going to get flack but he still backs his players. When Nomar returns there's no doubt he'll get the lion's share of the PT but Dusty won't diss Neifi, who's done a better than expected job for the team, by saying so publically. When Neifi loses his spot, and he will if Nomar is healthy, that's when Dusty will say so - way to avoid controversy in the clubhouse Dusty. Nomar's not even there so it's all speculation anyway. [/i]
