i like how the ex-players have this paranoia that the nerds want to get rid of scouts and only have computers analyze baseball. i'm still trying to find a respected stat nerd who has said that scouts are worthless. the old timers keep trying to make it a "scouts vs. stats, you have to pick only one!" argument, which is ridiculous.
Manny specifically requested a 4 year deal. If they won't give 1 to him, well, the Dodgers need Manny more than Manny needs the Dodgers. Sucks to be the Dodgers.
