  1. Neil Ramirez on this poll makes me sad. Makes me think he's gonna be voted too high eventually. I voted for CJ. Voted for him at #4. I think the Cubs really have something here.
  2. He doesnt feel like he has anything to prove? ohhhhhhhkay then.
  3. I figure if you want to make sure you pitch a guy on a set schedule to see how his frame holds up under standard duress, Daytona is the last place you do that. how many times do we have to go thru this? Daytona isnt rainy in April or May.
  4. I kinda figured CJ Edwards would start the year in Daytona given he got less than half a season in there last year.
  5. i agree with this
  6. ok. I'm gonna vote one too. And have 1/3 the voting power!
  7. if we vote for 3, are we really ranking em in order or is it just a vote for all three? I guess i dont understand why we're voting for 3.
  8. i worry enough about baez's contact making ability that i'm still voting Bryant #1.
  9. Now if we are doing the one at a time poll. Mid spring training if doing everyone's top 40 list. I'm ready when ever you want to start. Just saw Tanaka is coming to Chicago to visit both the Cubs and White Sox but really don't see any reason to wait for that to work itself out. i'm ready to roll now too. And would strongly favor the polls from last offseason. we can do a final tweak if and when we sign tanaka or add prospects from a Samardzija trade.
  10. A nice hybrid approach. man the polls were the best part of last offseason. :)
  11. Torrez and Leal are in my 30. The other 2 aren't. I don't get the Ben Wells thing at all.
  12. I want to do it as well, figured we'd make a deal or two bringing in more prospects, which is why I haven't thought much about it yet. Maybe wait til Febrruary 1st or so? Yeah, I've been waiting to see if we deal Shark before getting it going. There's still plenty of time. if we're gonna do say 40, and leave each poll open for 2 days, thats 80 days. 80 days from now is late March. There's not really that much time..
  13. i'd really like to do this but we're running out of time. I dont want to step on anyones toes, but I would volunteer to organize it this year...
  14. probably should fire this back up.
  15. Ehhhh we know what Villanueva is. If we dont add another starter, and no one's traded, i'd much rather see Shark/Wood/Jackson/Arrieta/Rusin with Villanueva as the long guy in the pen with Veras/Russell/Strop/Wright/Parker/TBD with the TBD being whoever earns it in camp (Grimm, Rondon, Rosscup, et al)
  16. those have been over for a long time. Wonder why this is just now news?
  17. where's he pitching at that he's shown this recently?
  18. Think Edwards, Barney, and Parker. Pierce, Barney, and Parker would be about right. Robbie Ray isn't in CJ Edwards' class.
  19. There's no way we'd get Cole and Giolito. In fact, I'd imagine Giolito is off limits period. well i'd say then if giolito's off the table then washington can piss off.
  20. Pretty sure he was. But, you know, between being 25 years old, the whole vision problem thing not being resolved, and coming off a .201/.303/.381 slash line combined for AA/AAA tends to keep guys out of organizational top 10 lists. i'd still have him ahead of jeimer and arodys for sure.
  21. Who?
  22. After watching 5 outs, I didn’t feel all that depressed…I just felt like “Damn I can’t wait to be good again so I can experience the madness around the 2003/2004 seasons again.”
  23. i'm 100% convinced of this too.
