I would have loved Lickliter ball if we won at the level Wisconsin has. But yeah now I'm back to absolutely hating slow-paced basketball. If I were a Badger fan I would be more upset with knowing that the Sweet 16 was about the top end I could expect. It would be a lot of fun leading up to March, especially if you're a season ticket holder but are they ever going to get over that hump? I think their "homecourt advantage" hurts them in that respect. You can't get breathed on for a foul in the tournament. Yeah, they were in the bonus with around 11 minutes left in the second half. I try not to bitch because everyone in the Big Ten gets a home court edge but when the Sconnies went into the bonus they had only two fouls against them. *sigh*

I guess 2-4 isn't bad for Purdue's senior class @ Wisconsin. If I was a Wisconsin basketball fan, I would kill myself. What a disgusting style of play. Purdue should get them at home.

Is Michigan St. going to even make the tournament? They're down double digits to IU in the first half.

Lewis Jackson is averaging 10 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists in Big Ten play. Not bad for being the smallest guy on the floor pretty much every game. I was not expecting much out of him at the start of the year.

2, 4, 5, 7, 10 (twice), 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 22, 23, 25 all lost this week. Plus, Mizzou and Texas are playing tonight so one of 7/11 will lose. Kansas or Vandy could conceivably be upset as well, but I don't think Ohio St. will go down... quite a week though...

Awesome response. Sorry I can't stand what has happened to Illinois basketball program under Weber. I'm done talking about it. But it's awesome for posters to tell someone to shut up. With the upcoming Cubs' season looking to be rough I would keep trying to drive away posters. Aren't you the guy that celebrated the Robbie Hummel injury?

He's just struck out over 5 years. 5 more and he could really damage the prestige of our team. You grossly overestimate the "prestige" of Illini hoops. This is the best run of recruiting we've had in a long time. If we loose the '11 and '13 classes, you'll see damage to the program. Now if we could get reassurance Jerrance would stay and most of the recruits would come, then cut Weber loose, by all means. Top 15 wins all time. Top 15 winning percentage all time. Most wins in the NCAA Tourny that doesn't have a title. Please, please don't buy into Peoriaman's we weren't that good anyways schtick. lol, only 34 wins behind Penn....

That was painful to watch. The Boilers have their work cut out for them the next few weeks. I didn't think we were going to win at Columbus, but after Saturday night I expected it to be a 5-10 point game all night. Yikes! Some revenge against Minny would be nice this weekend, but we haven't played well against any 'big' team yet.

Yeah, no other student section does anything like that. At all. Ever. Does Iowa even have a student section at basketball games? Don't they give the tickets away free to students and they still don't show up? Maybe he just can't hear Iowa fans getting upset over calls because they aren't at the game? Yes they have a student section. They give away tickets to like 2-3 games per year starting last year. Yes the student section at Iowa for basketball sucks really bad. And none of that has anything to do with your student section being the biggest bunch of idiots in the league. Everyone understands how student sections work. Yours is just the worst because they expect a 10 to 1 ratio of fouls and seem to know absolutely nothing about basketball. It's an epidemic. I think you may be right here. I mean, I was in total disagreement before but I think you won me over. Purdue students are just a bunch of idiots. No wait, I mean Iowa fans are idiots. Wait, what?

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but Purdue recruit Jacob Lawson tore his ACL last week. I was hoping he would help fill the size gap with JJ gone next year. If he rehabs ok he could still be back in time.
