  1. We are talking about an SI Male Athlete of the Year winner. Thats some serious hardware.
  2. Cork Good call. Cork. My bad there, but seriously Uncle Don is gonna work some magic with Peavy.
  3. "You must be lucky my Starlin 'Cause you make the darkness seem so far And when I'm lost you'll be my guide I just turn around and you're by my side Starlin, starbright first star I see tonight Starlin, [starbright] make everything all right Starlin, starbright first star I see tonight Starlin, [starbright] Come on shine your heavenly body tonight 'Cause I know you're gonna make everything all right" - Ryan Theriot
  4. And they have Danksy, Floydy, and Freddy. A lot of sick episodes of Coop at the Court, this summer.
  5. With a full year behind him, Id expect no less then .200/.225/.275 with 6+ ribs.
  6. Special things. I expect special things.
  7. This could be hilarious.
  8. Foxymophandlemama walks, Fontenot Code up.
  9. That the White Sox PR staff arbitrarily labeled it "The Catch" does not necessarily mean that anyone of value actually calls it as such. The White Sox also consider Hawk Harrelson a broadcaster; the fallacy to that should be obvious. There are traditions, and there are white sox traditions, no? Very true, I think we all can agree that it a damn good thing that Dewayne Wise was being a man, and playing like a boy that day. respect RESPECT.
  10. move to other sports forum
  11. I know of no Cubs fans who call that "the catch". Yeah, that's pretty pathetic writing. It was a nice catch and all, but come on. The only moment in history baseball fans refer to as "The Catch" is the one by Willie Mays at the Polo Grounds Thats not necessarily true. The White Sox emblazoned the words "The Catch" in the spot Wise caught that ball last month.
  12. So this offseason, after continuing the Chicago Bear tradition of completely ignoring needs during the draft, the Bulls stood pat to position themselves as a potential 2010 player. "2010 Free Agent Class Mania" being possibly the biggest sports reporting-built facade in the history of pro sports. Wade stays in Miami. Bosh probably goes to Miami. Lebron stays in cleveland or joins the Brooklyn Nets. Amaré stays in Pheonix. Manu/Nash/Dirk are all old and unlikely to leave. Yao may never play again. Joe Jackson is probably the only interesting 2010 story, though maybe the least covered. Hes what we need, he could definately leave, and considering the Gordon signing may not be a piston. Im sick of hearing about the 2010 class, and really hope it doesnt dominate Paxson and Gar's forward thinking going into the season.
