If people were that hard up for violence wouldn't they be watching hockey, which is faster and bloodier? Almost nobody grew up playing hockey and almost every american grew up throwing a football around and playing some form of the game.

Also, everytime the new safety rules are invoked the announcers freak out about how its ruining the game.

Im dissapointed in his play after signing the deal, despite the fact that he has recorded msotly double doubles for the last 3 weeks. And enough with "double doubles". Kris Humphries averaged a double double as a part time starter last year and got a 1 year deal.

I agree. All I kept thinking about was how glad i am that mlb and nba dont have a super bowl. Dont mistake quantity of entertained with quality of entertainment. I like the sport of football but they couch these games in so much bs it ruins the broadcasts for me.

Hes had some great games the last week or two but hes still dissapointing. And the miami series he was garbage. Its not like i dont like noah anymore, just that i wish he was more rodman-like with the consistancy of the work he puts in now that hes paid to do it.

I love nba goof celebrations but id rather him come into the season in shape after we gave him that deal that looks worse every day than do up this act of his.

Ive already read 3 jeremy lin articles today and am sad about how happy its gonna make me when he fails. the knicks are an absolute joke. They are going to run the offense through jeremy lin? We are 2 weeks away from the the mid season and they are now gonna give Lin the ball and 30 minutes a night for the foreseeable future. This is great. Its extremely unlikely but if Kyrie Irving's legs hold up all season or if Milwaukee can keep wining their home games there is a chance the Knicks will not make the playoffs. I believe Houston gets their pick unprotected as well. Jeremy Lin at the helm, Dantoni has completely lost it.

Deng played 40 minutes last night in a blowout. Based on our team presidents proclivity to coach out the coach for overplaying an injured player im gonna assume luol's wrist is okay, and based on that not sign a guy to replace him in the rotation. JR is more fun to watch than actually productive. Im all for an insurance policy if somebody decent gets cut on friday when the deals lock in, but not a guy who will disrupt the flow by tting 6-7 threes off in 20 minutes. Also we dont have the money to sign him anyway.

I like jr but want nothing to do with him as a bull. He's a volume scorer off the bench and doesnt serve any need for this team. He can help a bunch of teams but not the bulls. I doubt garpax even considers him. He's just not a fit for our group.

Melo has played 659 games including playoffs. If the above is true, he has between 3-6.5 seasons left until his skills decline. I respect Melos game a ton but I don't group him among top tier of NBA and simmons is discussin the best players of their generations, all guys who maintained productivity levels close to their peaks as their physical skills diminished through evolving their games and developing more intelligent appraoches. I just don't know melo to be on those guys level. He's on Vince Carter and cwebbs. He's a great wing scorer but I expect his efficiency to decline within 3 years and his d to deteriorate from a starting point that isn't ideal. That said he has a great post game and is a good shooter so he may be great longer than I expect.

You know Melo is only 6 months older than LeBron and came into the league in the same draft right? He's got at least 4-5 years at peak performance left and then probably another 2-3 years until any decline is particularly noticeable. Well I said "amare and melo" because I was talking about them as a Tandem and not really when each would decline individually as I obviously expect them to depreciate on different schedules. Amare has already lost a lot of explosiveness from his suns days. On melo, Your ranges put him at about 34-36 before noticeable decline and that's just not reasonable in today's NBA.

Another disapointment for knicks fans, lovin it. Miami really wanted him too. Man that would have been a disaster. If they got another guy worthy of 20-25 playoff minutes and 6 more fouls, it would be almost impossible to contend with them over a 7 gamer.

Another disapointment for knicks fans, lovin it. When D12 signs his max with Orlando another 6 years of Knick mediocrity can proceed unviolated. I think a normal offseason will do wonders for the Knicks though. They have no capspace, no draft picks and no backcourt. They have 3 quality starters in the frontcourt but the two main components do not seem to be accretive when paired. They have had plenty of games to gell and havent. I dont think a new coach is going to figure it out either. Amare and Melo only have about 2 more years before they begin to noticably decline. If you have to gut your roster - by overpaying (true old cba max) and goign all in (chandler, gallo, felton, hill, a million 1rst rounders) for the ability to give melo a true max - to get two great scorers you probably wont be good. If you have zero depth and no backcourt you will never win more than maybe 1 playoff series. Even the Heat, who have 2 of the 15 or 20 best players ever playing in their primes together with another perennial all star, didnt get HCA and didnt get a title last year. Though of course I think they will this year.

He was T'd up a few minutes before that and he was pretty pissed during his interview before the start of the quarter. Ever seen a picture of rick carlisles hairline from when he was getting garbage minutes with the celts in the 80s? You'd be pretty pissed too if you had to go from a thick wavy pompadour to a thomas acquinas looking buzzcut.
