  1. This just shows that FSU is still not back. No way Bobby B. lets a coverup like this fail.
  2. I have never been to college station but i have been to Houston and id rather live within 90 miles of Omaha than Houston. Id probably rather live anywhere else in the world than houston.
  3. I would think that the Michigan job, is as good as any job in the country and depending on fit could possibly compete with Texas for a candidate. Apparently, Texas' facilities rival the olympic training grounds at the height of East German power but the Michigan job should be competitive. I think you are overrating the A&M job though and Sumlin should take what he can get before manziel leaves and the program returns to being mediocre.
  4. Understanding the subjectivity. But it does seem to matter a lot when Stanford shakes off a terrible loss to Utah (with little on the resume outside of the preseason positioning) and gets back to #5 in the BCS by holding serve home against UCLA and in corvalis. Stanford will deserve to be top 5 if they beat USC this weekend but I dont think they will.
  5. Im looking at it now though and the good loss @ ASU, the good loss @ OSU, and then impressive beat downs of Iowa and Northwestern and then the strong win vs BYU. I am a South Carolina fan, but I gotta say that Wisconsins resume is stronger than USC's at this point and the gamecocks are #10 in the BCS and likely to be #7 or #8 prior to the Clemson game. For some reason the voters sort of forgive certain team's really bad losses (Stanford, A&M, USC) while punishing not-so-bad losses for MSU and Wisconsin.
  6. We is Wisconsin so underrated in the BCS? One of their two loses was a screwjob and the other loss was a competitive game on the road to a team that hasnt lost in 2 years. 3 loss LSU is in front of them, Louisville who lost at home and has a putrid schedule, oklahoma has been spanked twice. They should be grouped with A&M and USC but they are 10 spots lower. The Big 10 in general is getting screwed over by perceptions being biased against them. Why is Auburn 10 spots higher than Mich St? A&M has two loses and 0 impressive wins, why are they ranked higher than 1-loss Ok St or 1-loss MSU?
  7. Petrino is going to land somewhere where they realize he guarantees them a bunch of great years and that they dont care about ethics. It would be great if UF fired muschamp and hired Petrino.
  8. Yea richt would need to get fired at least 2 times to end up at U of I.
  9. Yea richt would need to get fired at least 2 times to end up at U of I.
  10. This is because Georgia fans are absolute idiots. I dont know what they expect but they have had a decade in the top tier of the SEC and played in the SEC title game 6 times. This is a lloyd carr situation and the program thinks it should be better than is reasonable.
  11. If Ohio State had been eligible they would have probably have destroyed Nebraska in the big ten game and then beaten ND and won the BCS. They'd be #1 right now right?
  12. That UofI blowout of Cincy looks very bizarre in retrospect.
  13. I just can't believe how bad Detroit was today in their road win to take command of the division.
  14. Treat an good god that was the the Worse coached game ever.
  15. I guess that's telling then how the expactations have changed in Michigan.
  16. There is no excuse to not take the 3. Thats absolutely insane. You are at home take the league you jackass.
  17. And then Vandy promptly crushes them in the Swamp. Yea this surprised me quite a bit. Last year Florida beat LSU, USC, @ aTm and @ FSU. Not exactly sure how they could be this bad regardless of injuries. This team is still packed with talent. Maybe Muschamp has completely lost them I have no idea. They hung in tough at the georgia game and I figured they would salvage the season and hopefully spare me rooting for the meteor in an FSU - OSU title game or FSU - Bama. I guess Muschamp is gone and with better jobs out there (Texas, USC, and potentially even Michigan) they wont have a shot at Sumlin.
  18. A Mizzou loss would be huge. The line has trended down from -15 to -13.5 go UK baby.
  19. Him and Charles Grodin get it going in Clifford though.
  20. See this is what im talking about. You don thtink Florida has a shot at home against FSU? They havent lost at home since 2011.
  21. I just feel like its generally accepted that FSU is either the best or second best team in fbs and ive watched them play a few times and am not convinced that this year's team is better than last years. I think UF beats them at home. They wont be able to run split screens all game against a defense made up of all future pros. The major difference between last years UF and this year's UF is that they caught everybody at home last year. They could even get upset before that.
  22. If that happens it would be far from wide open. It would actually be a pretty clear title game of Ohio State-Florida State. Ohio State has to get through the michigans and FSU has to win in gainesville. Either could happen but probably not both. There will be at least a 1 loss team in the bsc title game. FSU is getting too much love.
  23. Ok St. will beat baylor. USC is gonna take down stanford at home. bama will lose a game and its gonna be wide open.
  24. Cash flows from the contract in-place with WGN would have be reflected in Rickett’s purchase price for the team. The trend on the TV deals other teams are getting can only be gravy at this point, id think, with the renegotiation with WGN. The TV deals going crazy is a reflection of the TV ad dollars needing to go to live content, way more so than in 2008-2009 when they negotiated the purchase of the Cubs. The important thing to remember is that they own 20% of CSN. That has to be quite a pleasant surprise because they are getting the net profit of the station that’s carrying the majority of the Sox, Bulls and Hawks games and associated programming as well. That partnership with the other owners and Comcast cant be a long term equity model so whatever that’s been raking in has to be a somewhat substantial immediate cash impact and likely worth way more now than anticipated when they bought it in 2008. The Tv deals, the various stadium issues, the rooftop deal, the debt load etc: these were all known quantities 5 years ago. The CSN piece, I think is the variable and id guess its been pretty favorable.
  25. I consider this 1-3 start to be very insignificant in terms of how I feel this team will be; making the Lakers firing of Mike Brown that much more ridiculous in retrospect.
