  1. This is crazy. That was easily a td.
  2. Great work by the refs giving Bamas d a breather.
  3. Good god reply is dumb and annoying. Id rather complain about officials blowing calls than sit through all these replays.
  4. Good show by Michigan go Spartans.
  5. Win or lose great call by hoke.
  6. I absolutely agree. Go for it.
  7. Unload the cortisone into that ankle.
  8. Sumlin you silly man. Nothing against AM but you coulda had the USC job.
  9. Lets see how bama does today before we make this statement. Bama hasn't played a tough road game in a long time. This Big house crowd came out possessed today.
  10. America needs this win.
  11. Oh please beat OSU.
  12. A Michigan and Florida wins to start off today would be absolutely glorious.
  13. Floridas defense has a ton of talent. If they can get something going on offense they could win this game. Open the playbook or something.
  14. Whoa. Lee Corso entertains the hell out of me. There isn't anything Corso could do or say to change that. Last week when he fired off two shotgun blasts after he put on the ok st mask was absolutely awesome. The lion king commercial they just did was hilarious. Corso seems like a really nice guy too unlike some of the other sanctimonious pieces of [expletive] espn/abc employs. I'm gonna be sad when he hangs it up. I could care less about the quality of his analysis especially in the context that he gives it.
  15. I'd rate Bo Jackson and Hershell Walker over Cam, and that's just off the top of my head. Probably a few more too. Cam Newton played one season of FBS ball. Won every award. 14 - 0 including that ridiculous comeback road win vs bama. Auburn wasn't good before him and sucked after him. His coach was gene chizik. He's the greatest ever.
  16. And another thing. I just saw AJ Mccarron on the cover of SI with the headline "King Crimson" (which im sure he has no idea what that is) making a case that hes maybe the best ever. Cam Newton is the best college football player ever and its not close. The guy earlier said "Its not fair playing the SEC West" and granted Bama doesnt ever have to play Bama, but still, they have not worked a tough schedule this year. They gave up 42 at whats turned out to be a very mortal A&M, they beat down a pretty good LSU at home and thats it for this year. Last year they beat a good but not great LSU team in death valley with a last second td drive, lost to A&M at home, beat a good georgia team in a barnburner in atlanta, and then smoked an, i think at this point we can all agree, an overmatched ND team that wasnt a worthy MNC contender. And then the year before they got to avenge a home loss in the title game. Basically if any other school did what bama has done in the regular season the past three years; they would not have played in either of the last two title games, and would be ranked maybe #1, maybe #2 and maybe #3 this year. Granted saban is great and bama is a great program, but part of their national championship run is self fulfilling.
  17. Honestly what is wrong with that guy. Big time college football coach is a half football coach half political position. Pelini must be the least self aware human on the planet. Getting roasted at home by iowa for your 4th loss and then calling everybody who doesnt think hes done a great job an idiot. And the "my assistants doing a great job how dare you say otherwise ..." line is garbage. Nobody cares about your assistants Bo. Also, Lou Holtz made a good point, you may think you are engaging the media but you are actually talking to the fans and general public. Also using his coaching status as an excuse was pathetic. In all these years i can hardly remember an instance where a coach on the hotseat blamed being on the hotseat for losing games. They should fire him before the bowl.
  18. Id like Al Golden if he didnt dress like a jerk and have jerk-hair.
  19. Its looking like Iowa will get into the gator bowl or outback bowl and play one of the top teams in the SEC. Will be interesting to see that matchup (say against Mizzou, Auburn, USC or A&M). My feeling all year is that the Big 10 is solid this year and that the SEC is overrated. I have a feeling Wisconsin and Iowa will represent well against the SEC this year. And my prefered matchup for the title game of OSU and Bama would be interesting too.
  20. I dont understand this either, state-size has nothing to do with anything. What Ole Miss and Miss St need to recognize is that their positions within their conference is such that a "really good year" doesnt necessarily mean competing for a conference championship or BCS bowl. South carolina isnt much bigger than mississippi and has two good programs.
  21. Not nice of you to pick on Miss St. They played probably the toughest schedule in the FBS. They didnt beat anybody good until last night, but they played some good games against good teams. Pretty bowl deserving for 6-6/
  22. I know he owns the cubs, wrigley and 25% of CSN. These entities are profitable despite him. The family has at least $2bln in AMTD and potentially a bunch more owned not directly in their their name. They have "major sport owner" money its pretty safe to say.
  23. Here is what im thinking for this week. USC over Clemson; USC over UCLA; Bama destruction of Auburn, ND upset Stan and still hoping against hope that UF can put it together and beat FSU. Also praying for a Johnny Football holiday victory.
  24. I also remain frustrated at the overrating of Stanford and Oregon. Stanford's two decent wins are looking worse and worse and Oregon, who has not beaten a good team, just lost by 4 touchdowns to Richrod. ND is now, perfhaps for the first time in the school's history, underrated. I expect ND to give Stanford everything they can handle and at the very least cover the line.
