  1. Is this rumored or somebody's idea? I will take this certainly. Looking at his numbers hes declining on usage and not efficiency. Looks like a played very well in the playoffs. Hes an expiring next year. Id do this in a heart beat. Maybe theyd take butler and boozer? Question, can the nets amnesty boozer? Or does it need to be the team that signed him? If the nets traded Joe Johnson for Butler and Boozer, could they then amnesty boozer and have cap room or are they so out of the cap that it doesnt matter? [expletive] it get Joe Johnson he can still score and hes like the third in career NBA earnings.
  2. Oh come on give me a break daws!
  3. At least now our fourth quarter rotation has a quality offensive big that thibs will play in key spots unlike boozer. And since they are moving Noah so far off the basket offensively Paul can put pressure on to the interior and finish or work the boards or really spread out the offense. He can play with taj or Noah or both. Mirotic is a huge question mark and we have no clue what role he's gonna play. The bulls were the absolute worse team ever offensively and addin a really good two point basket scorer is much needed. Defiantly looking forward to seeing Noah and Pau play a two man game. I like Taj but he's no where near as skilled and Noah has been great at finding guys inside and I think Pau meshes well there.
  4. Look at some of the deals guys are getting. Pau commands a decet paycheck and te bulls will be giving him one. He's apparently being pursued by the Spurs and the Thunder which tells me teams think he can still produce. If the offseason ends up being Mirotic Pau McDermott and Stephenson I'm pretty happy.
  5. So looks like the bulls are close to getting Pau. He's a guy who can both rebound and score. And if it's a sign and trade hopefully it's the sign and trade we need to add melo. Because if we somehow get add both those guys I don't think we need to fear any team in the NbA.
  6. I think goin forward Irving is better than wade. But I don't think Irving will ever be better than wade over the past 4 years. Irving is also a player who has had trouble staying healthy. My contention is that because the heat were fallible the Cavs will also be beatable.
  7. I think bosh is just a better player all around player than love. And wade is on another level compared to Irving. The Cavs a very young nucleus and are better in the long view. They also have varajeo who is a great player and waiters is better than Chalmers. And I think they still have money. If they add miller and ray Allen they will be as good as the heat teams perhaps.
  8. And if you add melo to a group that has improved ((dj, butler (he might be gone in the S&T) taj and noah)) and the other new guys (niko and mcdermott) he doesnt need to be entirely the player he used to be.
  9. Howard Beck ✔ @HowardBeck Follow Eastern Conference race is now wide open. Will say it again: Carmelo makes the Bulls instant favorites if he signs there. i don't know who this dude is but since he's a rando there's a decent chance he's not a bulls fan This entire discussion was, I surely thought, based on the discussion of Love landing on the Cavs. Beck, whoever that is, is surely not discussing this situation based on the same presumption based on this random message board. I would agree that if Anthony lands on the Bulls, and the Cavs team is stays as-is, the Bulls may be favored. But if Love is traded to the Cavs? No. Just no. Surely a bulls team with Carmelo Anthony and a healthy Rose can be reasonably argued as the favorite in the East over a Lebron/Love lead cavs. I understand "no, but 'no just no' is too dismissive of a team that won 45 games last year and added Melo and Rose. I think that's the first problem with this line of reasoning. Why would anyone expect "a healthy Rose" to exist? Because i choose to be optimistic about rose's health. I am choosing to believe that they (either the bulls or rose or the bulls & rose) have approached his injuries with extreme caution. Im also believing in the reports that Rose plays great in practice.

  11. Love is not on the Cavs
  12. This whole thread has been about the "East is over". And I responded to a post that mentioned 3 eastern teams also. If the bulls got melo would you even favor the Cavs? I would not. That's a near 50 win team adding melo rose and Mirotic. If they get Melo, do they have salary room for Mirotic? Seems like from what I've read it'll be tough. I don't know. Take him away and they are still better than the Cavs with a melo Signing.

  14. Grives Vasquez was just signed for 7 mil a year for two years. I would absolutely take wade on a sizable contract. If you hate him you want him on the bulls rather than going to New York or Dallas and being good. He just put up a 19 PER in 20 playoff games while injured. He's declining but he's not done. [expletive] Vince carter was somewhat effective for the mavs and he's like 50.
  15. We will learn to love his flops dirty play and watching him do tht shot fake lean into defenders.
  16. Dear god do this garpax. Since we don't have enough money for melo by himself much less wade who will be offered a max by miami.
  17. Are you talking about them winning the eastern conference or the nba championship? Cause you responded to a post that was only about western conference teams.
  18. Make a few changes and it's the same BS people were saying to pretend that their team actually had a chance to compete. I know, I was one of them. Well the heat weren't unstoppable and teams absolutely competed with them. They won like 3 or 4 series in 7 games and lost in the finals twice. Clearly they were the best team over the last 4 years but many teams "competed".
  19. Why on earth would you want Wade? He's a broken man. Because perhaps he'd be willing to take less to come here and even as a broken man he's the best FA outside of bosh and melo.
  20. Does this make wade available to also come home on a cheap deal.
  21. This does not make me feel like Lebron is some great guy. He came back to Cleveland when convenient. If Cavs don't win the lottery he doesn't do this. Also I'm pretty sure he cost udonis Haslem a few million bucks.
  22. I do not agree that 2014 Lebron Irving and Love is better than 2010 Lebron Bosh and Wade. Bosh is a fantastic player who was a franchise level stat stuffer in Toronto and a great two way player and is the GOAT at agreeing to completely sacrifice his only game and reputation to become the ultimate team player all for the sake of Building Lebrons legacy. And I think we as a society are letting justified hatred of Wade color opinion of his game. I doubt Kyrie ever developes enough to put together 4 years of basketball on par with Wade's last four injury plagued, "declining" years. And going into 2010 Wade was in his prime and already one of the best guards ever to play. I like kyrie but he's never gonna be that good. His next four years will be better than wades next four but likely far from wades last 4. This Cavs group has a better supporting group than the 2010 heat but is take the heat big 3 over the possible Cavs big 3. This underscores how hard it is to craft a championship team out of a big 3. The Heat won 2/4 with an impossibly good big 3. And they got beat by a fairly pedestrian-level championship squad as far as championship teams go. They got beat twice by a hot hand and I think the bulls teams being discussed (while not being favorites to) could beat this Cavs team in an ECF.
  23. With that group and Thibs it's 48 minutes of hell defensively
  24. Is there enough money to add Pau, Stephenson, and Mirotic? I think so. I don't understand these things but I've read that it's possible to do a pau sign and trade for boozer, use the MLE on Mirotic, use something called a BAE to bring back Dj (who we need) resign Kirk and have 10MM a year left for Stephenson which is an improvement to his offer from Indy.
