If Beal improves they could win the East. Nene is a beast down low and they have a ton of flexibility at the wing positions. If Beal becomes a reliable shooter to pair with Wall they become very difficult to defend. Ariza is gone to Houston. I don't consider them in the running (not because of Ariza even with him they aren't good enough). They might win 45 games again but that's it. And Charlotte while being decent and potentially a few games over .500 is no where near capable of winning 3 playoff series. Kemba will lose a game by himself every playoff series in Brandon Jennings-like blaze of 2-20 glory. Big Al is still basically the entire team and he was on fumes in the playoffs last year. Stephenson was just an ok offensive player playing alongside a premier offensive wing. Gilchrist is not going attract the attention of a George. An kemba is just looking to get his. Neither of these teams are better than brooklyn or Toronto and would bet neither wins a playoff series next year.
If Booz goes to miami then they are actually really good. His issue here was a third him declining. A third stupid fans and a third thibs hating him. He will probably catch on somewhere and be pretty productive.
And other recent titles like the Pistons for example where nobody associated with that franchise was involved in the winning of a championship for that franchise. Just a really stupid thing.
i have a buddy who i used to work with when i was in HS/college who is serbian. he loved vlade and was a huge kings fan because of peja. also wouldn't shut up about how great darko was going to be. This guy must have hate Dino radja.
They never did. I think the guy was saying the bulls could have put together a better offer than Houston which is probably not true. We would have needed to trade Noah to get Harden. We didn't have any trade pieces back then.
Are you kidding we would have an absolute dynasty if you put Harden on this Bulls team. Per the Heat without Wade. First off they aren't without Wade. He played 36mpg in the 20 playoff games the Heat had and he played well by nearly any players standards just not his own. He still played in 55 regular season games and 90 games total the year before. He's not Danny Granger. Without Wade that team is probably a 6 or 7 seed. Is say that team without Wade is pretty close to Toronto. The bulls without Rose are potentially as good as the Heat with Wade. The bulls have been very competive without rose.
He's basketball Ryan Theriot? I share bulls season tickets with a couple of people who loved theriot. And I listen to the post game radio show on 1000. I don't know anybody who loves Kirk hinrich. I don't think he's an especially popular player. Scalabrini was way more beloved.
I'd be surprised if there was a team in Europe that could win 10 games in an nba schedule. But that could satisfy holding ones own depending. He appears to be a soft big man that can shoot. Bargnani?
The Heat are going to be good, bosh can do a lot more offensively if he didn't have to make himself an outside shooter to compliment the big 2. They will still be a great defensive team. Meanwhile the Cavs unless they get mike miller and Ray Allen won't be able to space the floor for Lebron.
I thought we had a club option on jimmer from the deal we got him on during the season. I thought the purpose of the waiver pick up was for cheap guard depth for next year.
DJ signed with the Pistons for the same deal basically. That absolutely unacceptable. So they whiffed on Melo costing them Afflalo on the cheap. They fucked up this free agency. We are barely upgrading, losing boozer getting pau is an upgrade but losing DJ if a huge downgrade. So we have Rose Kirk and Jimmer as the only guards on this team? And mirotic and mcdermott could very easily both suck.
To the extent tht positions are relevant. Pau can play center. When LA was winning titles Bynam wasn't a big part of those teams. Pau was the center. Noah has been in the high block recently. They are very complimentary. Gasol with the ball in the block is much better than Noah. The two man game with Noah away from the basket will work well with Pau down low.
Yea but when guys like Tyreke evans have been available for doable contracts or trades they refuse to do it. I feel like Lance Stephenson is another chance they won't take.
If Mirotic can be out there with 2 of taj Pau and Noah than I hope he gets minutes I've been waiting for 4 years. Taj is a very versatile defender so he can play with one of Noah/Pau and McDermott/Mirotic. I definitely hope to see Mirotic and McDermott get a chance to be in the rotation. This means less butler which is good and less Kirk in a 3 guard lineup. The rotation is deep and hopefully we allow for the upside of some of the new guys. I have no idea what any of this means for dunleavy. We have a bunch of potentially good front court players. Knowing thibs we probably just have a new bench mob.
This seems like a 58 win season and 5 game loss to Lebron. That will be 5/6 in the last 6 years. We basically need Mcdemott to be klay Thompson and Mirotic to be prime Toni kukoc instead of omri casspi and Rudy Fernandez. like seanimal said, it's back to nba purgatory. only this time we're relying on rose staying healthy just to get there. then we'll remember we still don't have a second ball handler that can create a shot. We are just unable to make the big key pickup when we need to. I truly believe that the front office falls in love with their guys and when they need to package them they won't. My final hope is adding a guy like Eric Gordon and having him find it again or putting together jimmy taj and every pick for the next bunch of years for love. If the cap goes way up near term we won't need draft picks. Isiah Thomas could have been a nice pickup at his contract. They just never get a ball handler scorer they just refuse to.

Right now the odds in vegas (the ones im getting) are : Cavs 4:1, OKC and SAS 6:1, Bulls 8:1, LAC 10:1, HOU 15:1. Houston is a decent play. Bulls are getting some notre dame effect but still not long shots.
